From www.nme.com......
BASEMENT JAXX have been recruited to headline this year?s GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL.
The south London dance duo will replace Kylie in the Pyramid Stage headline slot on Sunday June 26, the festival?s official site confirms.
Primal Scream have also been added to the bill on the same day.
"I asked Basement Jaxx just because they're doing so well at the moment," festival organiser Michael Eavis exclusively told NME.COM. "And people should know that Primal Scream is a little bit of self indulgence for me. I've been a fan for a long time and they're a great festival band."
What a fucking brilliant result, The Chems and Jaxx in one weekend! So happy that a dance band is to headline!

Yeah, I got to see the Primals when they were supporting XTRMNTR. It was a long time coming because they hadn't toured the US in years and years.
They played at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. I kind of wished they'd played a different venue that wasn't in LA because there were quite a number of people there on comp tickets like these bored wannabe-actress slags outside who didn't know who the Primals were and they were firggen complaining, drunken frat boys who almost killed me on the floor (I was so pissed, I had a nice spot right in front of Kevin Shields too) but besides that - all in all it was a great show. Very tight band and Bobbie Gillespie had lots of attitude, they pretty much played all of XTRMNTR plus Mani from Stone Roses was touring with them! It was so exciting to finally see the Primals and Kevin Shields and Mani - like killing 3 bords with one stone!
It was also a great place for star spotting, it was such an L.A. scene. After I nearly got clobbered out on the floor, we went upstairs and stood whereever we could find room in the packed house. We sort of wedged ourselves behind the v.i.p. area. I spotted Tom Cruise leaving the men's room, Billy Idol totally digging it playing air guitar with that smirk on his face, and Rod Stewart with 2 women who were at least a good 50 years his junior. After the show, we stole Rod Stewart's fork! We were gonna take the martini glass but I'd changed purses before the show and there was no way it would fit.
