The State we're in mixed into Denmark. that's very nice aswell
One of the reasons Come With Us is such a brilliant album.
Man, Beth's ethereal vocals, that funky riff in Denmark, then the synth solo, then the beauty of Pioneer Skies..... leading into The Test. 8O

Been giving Come With Us a spin lately, since it's been a while. My son was so happy when Star Guitar came on - then he scolded me for not playing him his "train song" in a long time. X-D
It's good summertime music. And now going back and the more I listen to Come With Us, the more I notice little things that have carried over onto Push The Button.

That are like "Hold Tight London"?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. :)
There is this song by a band called Vast that is titled "Lost" that reminds me a lot of HTL. I know it's not a chemical track but none really come close to the wonderful/haunting sound of HTL. I guess The Test would be next closest IMO.

OK, before this thread gets too sidetracked...
I can't think of many tracks that are quite like Hold Tight London, there's something about that song that is unparalleled to any other that I've heard. A perfect blend of the pure ethereal female voice along with organic and electronic instrumentation...And I'm being honest here, I haven't heard anything else like it, and it's one of my favorite songs...
Hmm. You might want to first check out the band Trespassers William - the vocalist (Anna Lynne) for Hold Tight London, is the singer for Trespassers Williams.
Also very worthy of checking out are the Cocteau Twins (their label is the one who gave Trespassers William their push) Check out the album Heaven or Las Vegas - you can't go wrong. I'm not saying it's like Hold Tight London, but it's got similar ethereal qualities, lush soundscapes and plenty of atmosphere. Another song by them called Lazy Calm (off Victorialand) is just... painfully gorgeous, I don't know how else to describe.
Moving right along. Check out the song Teardrop by Massive Attack. It's on the album Mezzanine and features the voice of Liz Frasier (from the Cocteau Twins.) It's trip hop, much darker than Hold Tight London with a real heavy and seductive rhythm setting the backdrop for such an incredibly delicate and crystalline voice.
I know there's more, there always is, but maybe that'll get you started.

The whole album is to test people are you faithful to the chems?, those who are will be rewarded, theres an album better than surrender to come. I don't get it though Come with Us is pretty much a tribute to surrender, they almost go hand in hand. I dug both those albums more than any others, DYOH was a build up to that, i think the chems have a lot to offer, they're just letting us in on a little bit, one year at a time, building anticipation.

CWU seems to follow one from surrender now and is still an excellent album in my opnion, with some of there best work. I think the next ablum with have a harder edge and will be mainly dance music.
