Hey Boys, Hey Girls,

I just stumbled upon this interview with Tom Rowlands from 1997:

There's a funny quote:

We called us the Dust Brothers first because we really liked the U.S. Hip Hoppers but then we settled for Chemical Brothers. Sounds good, doesn't it? I think it's a pretty cool name but somehow I can't see myself playing in a band called the Chemical Brothers when I'm 30.

15 years have gone by and he's still playing in this band.

"Oh man, definitely San Diego. It was around a holiday back in 1995 and we were performing in some loft space. The people seemed a bit weird at first, but then as the night wore on we realized the entire thing had cultish undertones…like, chanting and evangelism and stuff. Luckily we were able to escape, but I do remember that lots of the people were in kilts. Weird."

Tom Rowlands said : "The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way. We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers."
