:D:D

thanks Csar for your feedback, i was especially hoping to hear what you said due to my belief that you create awesome music that sounds quite profressional.

mmmm with the trouble with frequencies....my friend and i are still quite noob at all this music stuff... we just usually jam and see what we come up with. any suggestions on how to fix it?? we only use reason atm

as for the arps...thats all thanks to Reason 4.0 :D

lol its funny that this thread gets more notice then POST YOUR MUSIC HERE :D

quick question about vocoding and reason

We have used like 2 seconds of vocals in our new song and it took ages to get the setup...if we wanted more would we have to make another NN, vocoder etc?? or is there an easier way?

cheers :D

Haha. Thanks but I'm far far far away from being professional or anything like that.

As for the issues it seems to me like an EQ issue. Maybe you should reduce the deep freqs a little or use a band compressor.

I had the same feeling about Trickle Theory. It's got that Eric Prydz "Call on me" feeling to me beat-wise and I don't like him/that (you know, that "pulsating" which sounds like bad mixing). But the melody parts and concept are quite cool - and of course the intro.

yea the intro is awesome :) and the build up at the end..

we mainly decided to have the simple beat because we wanted to have a doof doof song that the masses (our friends) would really get into...damn teenagers not appreciating good beats.

we are going to try put the intro sound in the song more...just not totally sure where to work it in.

Csar shouldn't you be showing us your new awesome stuff by now? slacking off a bit man :P

No no. nothing wrong with the 4/4 beat at all. Just that pulsating confused me a little.

Well as for new stuff, you know, time is my mature enemy at the moment and the wheather.

I started up dozens of unfinished fragments 'n pieces.

dudeman Csar!!!

i REALLY like the drums you use in your first song. It has the same raw feeling that early chemical bros stuff is like...i wonder where you got your influence from :P

the drum n bass is intense but cool... good first attempt.

I think he third song has an awesome relaxing synth and a great progression. I recon to help improve it maybe an accompanying synth so that they like work off each other? and yea i think you are right about the drums :p

BUT DUDE that last song has a phat feeling to it...a song that would get people grooving. i love it man :)

Csar great drums in the first track. I know you're still working on these tracks but they are peaking like crazy in the mix.

Hey folks, yesterday this idea of a track popped into my mind. There's no determined structure and things are still a bit vague. But what do you think. It's worth it staying on the ball?

Csar, that track is bumping. Reminds me of Moby's on-the-ball days, if you don't mind me saying that.

wicked stuff Csar! there's plenty of great sections here to work with. add a breakdown and this could be a banging 4min tune.

He shouldn't mind you saying that.

A. Moby has made some great electronic music.

B. It's spot on for comparison.

C. I agree--it's bangin'. I love it. :)

I made this song a few days ago. I've been trying to make the mix sound better/professional, with some luck. I call it "Oreo O's", after the cereal. 8 minutes long, though.

This one I made a few weeks ago. Nothing too serious, just a quickly made song. Uses the same kick sound that I sampled from an Audion song (I sample way too much.) I call it "That's Right" because of the voice sample.

Hey thanks, android, pooter, consumer. I'm feelin' kinda flattered :)

Android, I'll download your stuff tomorrow. I'm eager to hear what a cereal labled tune will sound like :)

Btw, would you say there's need to put more power into bass and snare drum?

Bass seems fine to me, but increasing the 100 Hz area for the snare wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for the advice android. I'll check this one out.

As for your tracks: I pretty like them. Are they meant to be ambient/background tunes? Because there are no leading melodies or stuff. I could imagine a melody that's playing aiong your nice sounds. Particularly in your Oreo-Os some synth passages would be fine that fade in and out. The start is pretty irritating but cool. Thought someone was whispering outside.

Some really nice tracks there, Ben. Good use of synths.

Ah, ModularInsomnia sounds sweet. Which modular did you use there?

The beat of Colder is alright too. Some sort of sample? Sounds pretty oldschool.
