So, for Record Store Day, it seems Boards of Canada issued a batch of mysterious vinyls, containing a few seconds of music and a series of numbers. Each vinyl has a different set of numbers (although it seems that there are more than just one vinyl for each set of numbers)
These vinyls are very hard to find (apparently there was only one in the US !), and it appears they also play with BoC youtube videos to pass some sort of message.

If you want to read more on that hunt, you can follow that post :

There has been no exact answer to what all this will lead to yet, but it's probably a sign of a new album, coming in June according to "Ian Stewart who is a friend of a friend of the band"

EDIT : after reading the comments, the numbers seem to reference UK Grid References, all in Scotland (BoC are Scottish)

Ok, i'm getting tingles about this news. Maybe when all the numbers are collected, and then put into a browser, we'll get something, something extraordinary I guess!

I didn't understand everything and posted something wrong on my first post.
The vinyls all have the same 6 numbers. Then a youtube video appeared with 6 other numbers, then on BBC Radio 1 was broadcasted a set of 6 different numbers, and finally a fourth set of numbers was in the podcast of an NPR show : "All things considered".
Speculation on how the two remaining set of numbers will be released include TV (possibly Adult Swim ?), Facebook, Twitter, AM radio (where number stations are broadcasted)...

Another number has been revealed. The gif banner of Twoism (a BoC fans forum) contained hidden information when you looked at it with a file editor, containing links to two private audio files on BoC's Soundcloud account, both with heavy white noise. Once phase cancelled, the two files give a new set of numbers.

It seems they also forgot to clean the audio files metadata, leaving a clue to the name of the album : "Cosecha"

yep, that's what I posted above

Also, Warp rented the gallery across Rough Trade in London, projected video loops with XXXXXX/------/------/------/------/------, and a number was playing inside the gallery, that was not open (so it was really hard to clearly hear). To our great disapointement, it was the same number as the NPR podcast (who apparently screwed up by not giving the placement).

Now that the album has been streamed, I had the time to give it 5 or 6 listens (in less than one day, while I've only listened to the Daft Punk album 2 times in 3 weeks). It's amazingly good ! Very dark and moody, and very trippy and aerial at the same time. Every single second of that record is golden
