Hi all.....I'm new here....I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction where I could get the complete Woodstock'99 set....I have the first part but unfortunately not included was this jam that contained a sample of the Byrd's "8 miles high"...it was the only time that I've ever heard them play it and I don't believe it was ever released officially and I'd really like to hear it again....I also recall a very sick "Private Psychedelic Reel" closing out that set....if anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it...I'm looking froward to making some new friends on here...
thanks

Welcome, you have a damn good ear. I didn't know they sampled the Byrds! That sample was used on Flashback, there is a live recording of it from the Red Rocks show that tour, damn good song live. As for Woodstock, there is a full set recording out there although not as good and I don't think it has the encore recorded.

It's on Ben_J's FTP server, if you ask him very nicely he might give you a login.

I've got it. Bad quality but it gets the job done. No encore, I can confirm that.

Since he's looking for Flashback he should get the Red Rocks set instead

He's not looking for Flashback; he's looking for a specific appearance of a song which happened at the Woodstock '99 version of Flashback. Sounds interesting!

na, he's looking for flashback. he said he is looking for the track with the Byrd's "8 miles high" sample, which was flashback! a great encore track which was only played in their summer 99 sets.

Probably didn't put it on the studio version cause it would have cost a bit to use the sample, the live version is where it's at.

i wonder where the got glint guitar comes from in the live show. is that guitar rift filtered right down and processed in the studio mix?

I think it's a synth w/distortion, more so live, had a bit of glide to it, almost like a 303, but it's polyphonic. Hmm, chemical brothers halp!

it kinda sounds like horns on the album, but the distortion makes it sound like a guitar, maybe both. I hope I one day hear this live.
