Hey all ye chem bruddas!

This is a very devoted fan from asia saying a big hey too all of you onto this forum. I'm into a lot of different music, but the Chems certainly rule my world too. Worship and own almost everything put out by them, except for a few singles.

I am preparing a music quiz, and need some help. I remember reading this long back in some mag that the Chems were actually called something else, for a very brief period of time, before they called themselves Dust Bros and then finally the Chems.

Can't recall that name before DBros. Can someone help? Have lost that magazine now, and the name has just suddenly slipped outta my mind totally. It was made from the house no. and street name of their lodgings back in their early days at manchester. Anyone knows it?

Thx a million Griffin and Soundertow! Ya guys rock!

Is there an introductions thread 'round here, or can we do 'em here? :D

Am from India, worship every bar, every beat put out by the Chems. What about u bros? What other music u into?

N the kiddy question? Do the Chems actually visit/ post 'round here ever? Cause I'm on some boards where the artists post once in a while too. Sorry for all the questions in one go!

Cheers n thx again!

Hello, JacksRevenge and welcome to our corner of the universe!! :D

Just another trivia note for you and others who don't know - the answer to the Turbo Nutters question can be found on the cd sleeve of "Brothers Gonna Work It Out" cd. ;-)

As for the other questions you posted, JacksRevenge - glad to see you're not shy! We're all into so many different things music-wise and it's all a bit scattered about around here. I'd say, use the search function, type in some band names and such and see what you come up with. If nothing gives, feel free to start a new thread. We love action round here!

The Brothers don't post here, at least not that we're aware of - but it's been mentioned in magazine articles they've lurked around looking for suggestions for the Bonus disc of the Singles cd.

Hey Whirlygirl! Thx for that info-feed!

And trust me, I've been searching for that name since last evening.. inside my head, and all over the net. Try googling without the actual name with any combination of keywords possible, n u'll know what i mean. :)

Where ya from Whirlygirl? I assume a lot of lucky souls on this site would have seen the Chems live? Now, that is THE dream! :)

Cheers!

p.s. And hell yes.. love IS ALL! ;)

Double p.s. thx for that brothers gonna work it out album sleeve bit.. now that u mention it, i DEFINITELY remember it!! Dammit! The very first line!! Damn google!

The more obvious something is hidden, the less are the chances you will find it. ;-) Welcome.

hehe, I guess Google's only good for some things, eh? I'm from southern California... and there's quite a few in the place who've seen the Chemicals do their thing live or in a dj setting and there are quite a few others who will hopefully get a chance to see them real soon.

Now as to who has seen them the most... I'm placing my bets on sneakerbeater!

Lucky souls like I said! I'd have to travel closest to Tokyo to catch em next tour if I can save up by then I guess.

Although an acquaintance claims his bro's seen em play a private party here in goa quite some time back, though I doubt it since it's a total trance scene out here in goa. Very few people into breakbeat n similiar stuff here. Sigh.

Hehe, small world, but I'm a punjabi from delhi too. Not in goa, but working in blore currently. Goa's like 8 hrs by road, so it's not too far-fetched a jaunt once in a while. Though I personally prefer the mountains. Kodi - now that's MY K-hole - the only place in this country where u get wild magic shrooms growin all over.. n one of the most beautiful places i've seen ever.

Anyone else on this board ever been to India? Goa trance is liked here? I personally was into it for a short while before I discovered the Chems, and that was the end of my trance journey. I LOVE the new Infected disc 2 though! One of the most brilliant albums of last year!
