Dear Tom and Ed:

First of all, thank you for bringing The Sunshine Underground back into your set. That's such a huge moment when that song peaks--it will forever remain one of my favorite tracks in the history of humankind. It was a pleasure to see you perform in Amsterdam, and although the crowd was disappointing from my perspective, the transformation of your live set has been amazing to experience over the years.

Secondly, it seems as though the energy which you bring to your shows is already reaching me, even though there is still a week and a half until your San Francisco/Los Angeles shows. I love that there will be a lot of forumites at those two shows, and I have to say I'm looking forward to the Los Angeles show in particular because I expect the crowd vibe to be chart topping. I know that the two of you feel so much awesome energy during your shows, so it seems a little redundant for one of us to be writing to you with something along the lines of, "You guys do an awesome job," but if I could rephrase that line:

The two of you, truly, do help to make the world a little bit better.

So here's a bit of energy back at ya. :-)

::andy, a.k.a. MadPooter::

Excellent post. Feel the same way. Even though I won't be there in LA, I'll be feeling those Chemical vibes.

I'm kinda annoyed right now with the tour manager (Not Errol). I really thought they would come to Canada this time. But they didn't. But they might. I don't know where i'm going with this. meh. I'm just chemical brothers depressed.

Oh prochem, I'm sorry man. I feel for you. I really hope the Chems can one day make a stop near you so you can have the chance to see them.

at least us canucks got a dollar 'basically' even with american as of today. YAH HIGH INTREST RATES.....and somewhat a lousy american economy (damn when is our bubble going to burst). either then that...you know the rantings from us canadians wanting a chems show.

I just wanted to use Andy's thread to say "thank you" to everyone who's posted their stories, feedback and pictures of the US shows so far. I really enjoy what's been written so much. These first hand accounts illustrate everything that's great and good about the Chemical Brothers when they're in their element: playing live to a crowd of dancin' fools! So thanks for that everyone! The reviews and pics are a feast for the eyes.

It sounds like the US tour is going well and I'm happy for the Chemical Brothers and happy for my fellow Americans that have gotten the chance to see them one more time (or 2 more times) or for the first time. The response has been beautiful and it really is cool to stop by the board and see all the enthusiasm and happiness. Despite having ruptured eardrums and enduring the grueling treks back home (hopefully basking in the afterglow).

OK - before I get more sappy and melodramatic than I already am, I'm gonna stop.

Love to you all!

Really great post, Whirly. As much as I'm disappointed to have missed the Chicago show and wish the LA show had been in the summer, I'm genuinely really happy for all the forumites for whom it's the first time they get to see the Tom & Ed Machine roll into town, and also for all of you congregating on the west coast at the end of the week. My thoughts and best wishes go out to all of you. Maybe it's just the beer talking but I'm thinking about clicking over to Expedia right now... Oh dear, I know that's not going to happen, but I DO have the weekend off.... hahaha.... Oh man.

Best wishes all and thanks Tom & Ed!

:cry: Awwwwwwww I do not possess superpowers, Rynostar, or else you + everyone would be on their way out to see the Chems' last stop on the We Are The Night USA tour. :cry:

Well you can at least make it up by thinking of us missing in action when they play. That's the superpower that'll be enough for us......at least a little bit
