Oh god... NOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Oh yeah, the "legendary" whirlygirl, hahahaha.

Here's what Amazon has to say, real life whirlygirl edits in red:

Product Description

After a run in with a hot exotic dancer yep that's me, the legendary whirlygirl just like it says on the box one wintry night, straight-laced prep school student James hmmm, in a parralel universe, this is stash will find himself on the ride of his life. mmmhmm, naughty! Risking his future, whaaaa?? he follows this mysterious woman to New York City parallel universe is at it again - ditching school, dodging cops and partying at hot nightclubs that are not Turmills }:-@ along the way. Based on a true story, bwhahaha Whirlygirl, is Risky Business for the 21st century; a fast paced, uhm, try sedentary sexy, whatever floats yer boat adventure of the fuckwitted kind about trusting your instincts whirly's flippin a lid again and pushing life to the limit. more like pushing my arse into the sofa seat on a typical Monday night

stash saw that floating around on bit torrent so he downloaded it because, well - because the name of the movie is whirlygirl. We only got through the first 25 or so minutes before we turned it off.

Rent it and let me know what you think.

Looks like New Line have held back "The Hobbit" from Peter Jackson and Co. because of some dumbarse lawsuit.

Several years ago, Mark Ordesky told us that New Line have rights to make not just The Hobbit but a second "LOTR prequel", covering the events leading up to those depicted in LOTR. Since then, we've always assumed that we would be asked to make The Hobbit and possibly this second film, back to back, as we did the original movies. We assumed that our lawsuit with the studio would come to a natural conclusion and we would then be free to discuss our ideas with the studio, get excited and jump on board. We've assumed that we would possibly get started on development and design next year, whilst filming The Lovely Bones. We even had a meeting planned with MGM executives to talk through our schedule.

However last week, Mark Ordesky called Ken and told him that New Line would no longer be requiring our services on the Hobbit and the LOTR 'prequel'. This was a courtesy call to let us know that the studio was now actively looking to hire another filmmaker for both projects.

Ordesky said that New Line has a limited time option on the film rights they have obtained from Saul Zaentz (this has never been conveyed to us before), and because we won't discuss making the movies until the lawsuit is resolved, the studio is going to have to hire another director.

That's just a really, really, really, really, really fecking pathetic attitude by New Line.

I just read yesterday on aintitcool.com that the rights go back from newline to the Saul Zaentz company, and they said they're gonna sell the rights to Pete Jackson!

Watched Summer of Sam (again!) the other night and I still really, really like it.

Saw the first half of Layer Cake last night (decided sleep was in order about halfway through) and it's awesome. Fantastic movie so far.

Dude, how could you bring yourself to turn off Layercake halfway through? that would drive me mad.

I have a friend that keeps telling me to watch just the dog scene from summer of sam. he said the rest of the flick was disposable, but the dog scene was priceless.

I'm trying to keep good sleeping hours and I'm fighting off a cold. Will watch the rest when I get home today.

I dunno, I really like Summer of Sam. Maybe it's just the soundtrack.

Layercake was fricking amazing. One of the best movies I've ever seen. Or at least one of the best in a long time. Stunning.

I loved it. Not quite as good as, but reminded me a lot of a British version of Heat in terms of aesthetics and style.

Clerks 2

We rented this last night. We just had to - we saw the first one in the theater all those years ago. Hilarity ensued. There was so much internet geek humor, I loved it!

I slipped into a proper laugh coma when Jay did his Silence of the Lambs dancing/man-tuck'it bits. We have this sort of inside joke about Silence of the Lambs so we had a good laugh. I haven't fallen off the couch laughing so hard in a long time.

The LOTR vs SW part was also hilarious, and so was the Inner Species Erotica show at the end!
