I absolutely loved school but I left school after 3 years of... dicking around, as I call it. I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do with my life plus there was the burnout factor (school year round plus working 2 jobs) and my home life was less than savory - and there were other factors I don't wish to get into here. Of course there are hypothetical questions like "what if I'd stayed in school and pursued this...?" that pop up in my head every now and again, but I made my bed and I sleep happily in it. I wouldn't trade my life for anyone else's.
I am an advocate for staying in school, simply because the routine of being in school can be a motivator and I hate to sound like an old fogey, but at that age it's hard to know what you want to do with the rest of your life and for some people, they kind of flush their potential down the toilet without something to help them along- and that's where school can help. Plus you can meet great friends! But along with school you need support from friends and family and lots of people don't really have that. Things happen therefore I don't think it's fair to bash on people who don't finish their studies. There are factors we might not know about that made the person quit their studies, and it's non of our business to be judging people on that. And besides, school isn't for everyone.
