My god, "Dissolve" is just f***ing AWESOME!!! This song will be the soundtrack to my summer, I just know it!
I love the whole Austin Powers cutscene / trippy 60's psychedelia thing going on. Phenomenal!

Well, the only new tracks they produced since last tour is Further. You got all of them live.
What did you expect more, if you didn't want tracks they already played 3 years ago ? Of course everyone has his favourites that he/she would like to see live, but playing the tracks they played was a logical choice : Hey boy Hey girl and Chemical Beats are too emblematic not to be played, Saturate/Believe is really an epic live experience, Under the Influence with the robots is one of their live anthem... They must have been quite busy bringing Further to life, and then bringing all the tracks live. Changing totally the "old" setlist would have been even more work. They always worked like that : if you look at setlists from a tour to the other, the structure stays quite the same, with additions from the new albums.
I totally get your point though. I hope it does not affect your fanness :)

If were talking about being angry at seeing tracks that were performed on the last tour then I should be annoyed that setting sun and chemical beats were played,I mean come on I already saw them played
before on the dig your own hole tour in '96 I don't need to see them again!! Get over yourselves people, the set was amazing. It had tracks in there for the casual fan, hbhg and saturate, then stuff like the version of setting sun which has never been played like that before which for a hardcore fan was ecstasy!

Ben J, no Friday's gig hasn't meant I have any less love for the Chems. I just have high expectations.
Chemdup, keep your hair on man. I'm not angry at Tom and Ed, just disappointed. Clearly, you're exaggerating the point I'm trying to make, to the detriment of your argument. I'm not saying Tom and Ed can't perform tracks from previous albums and tours, but to create a setlist that is pretty much identical to the WATN tour is a bit of a let down. Brother Ging knows what I'm saying - it's about rotation of the setlist, which i'm gussing they'll do for the proper tour for Further in Autumn/Winter.

I have no problems with their current classic setlist. Now that I think about it, just give Tom and Ed one of these and I'd still be satisfied

I saw the guys for my first time on the sunday and, well, I can't believe what happened.
I thought further sounded incredible and I'm proud to say I'm one of the first few thousand to have heard it.
The highlights of my night were certainly 'wonders of the deep' which sounded and looked fantastic, 'hbhg' as everything just seemed to explode during that moment and I've not been so happy in a long time, and 'saturate' which was equally brilliant.
I enjoyed every minute and can't wait to see them again, so I'd like to thank Tom and Ed for giving me the best night I've had in quite a long time.

Only problem with that sampler is the buttons are easlily worn out. And I wonder what happens to it if the battery dies.
Can't tell you how mine's working at the moment, it's been packed for months (I'm moving soon :))

I just came back from London!

First of all, thank you so much Ed and Tom!

The sunday show was just amazing! I enjoyed hanging around with Benjamin, Ferdinand, Marsch, Nick and Andrew! (Have you got some pictures?)

At first I was a bit disapointed by the led screen. Don't get me wrong, the screen was HUGE but the visuals didn't look very accurate from the first rows during further and believe. I think I should have gone back a bit.

Escape Velocity. Dot men, I love you!

Another World's visuals are really great, I love these green waves wich are transformed into a woman.

HORSE POWER is mind blowing.

Eventhough I had found Swoon sample a bit too simple, It sounded great live. But I still don't like the kissing part =D

Wonders of the Deep is stuning.

The second part of the show was just perfect and very powerful (I even enjoyed saturate's visuals =D ). I wish they had done an encore!

Best gig of my life for sure.

Thanks Again!

Antoine.

@Ben_J see you at "Le Zenith"!!!!!!

Big thanks for all the great pics and vids! Friday night was such an overload for my brain that I couldn't remember any of the new songs by heart after walking out of the Roundhouse. I'd never seen the Chems live before and went in open-minded, without too much expectation (which was hard because I've been a fan from almost the beginning) and got completely blown away. After they finished playing and people started to leave my mind was still struggling to climb back down to this world. I didn't mind hearing old tracks and won't mind if I hear them the next time. Further was un-f*ing-believable... Was amazed tho that people cheered like crazy especially after Swoon as it's really one of the softest tracks they played. Has it been playing on the radio a lot lately?

Can't wait to get my hands on Further and now I have a good reason to finally go see what Paris is like. Hope it's not too cold there in October.
