They either sampled it or just found the exact synth and let loose with it.

The beginning reminds me of Do It Again a lot.

hey, I've found another "burst generator"'s sound in another song.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/p0swu4

The synth to the end of the track is the same in "burst generator"

Tim "love" lee - Again son

More : chems have already mix this song in "live at the social"

I can't hear any similarities btw Again son and Burst Generator. Or maybe the version I have doesn't have that particular synth...

I wouldn't put it past Tom and Ed to keep reusing quality material in new ways.... (like the end of Open Up, or the sound bite used in CWU and The Duke, for example..) They're always pretty inventive with the samples. :)

Hahaha train-spotting samples is good fun. Nice work. Back in the old days it was easy as there wasn't such a threat of legality. The penultimate sample spotters album was "Paul's Boutique" by Beastie Boys (although actually produced nearly in its entirety by USA's Dust Brothers who some of the younger forum readers might only know as the dudes who soundtracked Fight Club). We used to hunt down the albums we worked out the samples were from and re-create stuff... eg brothers gonna work it out with the obvious kraftwerk ohm's sample and so on. I like the way the lads joke on the anti nazi promo cd about the extent of their sampling... i hope one day they can write a book and drop some secrets on some of the places they have grabbed :P

Yeah, I love what the Chems did on the Fight Club OST.

Not sure if you are joking or not but the Dust Brothers i refer to who did that soundtrack are the USA duo. Same who have worked with Beck. Same who politely asked a pair of UK lads if they wouldn't mind changing their name :)

welcome to slippy land segwist! the dust brothers rock, and did some awesome stuff producing, but I've been praying for a decade now they do a full length album of their own - fight club owns a lot of electronic music out there inside out. now only if they ever got down to writing a full fledged "album" of their own.
