What were your favourite live shows of 2014 ?

Mine were :

1. Portishead (Rock en Seine festival, Paris)
Hands down one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Beth's voice was perfect, the band was perfect, just perfect. And this video still gives me shivers :

2. The Prodigy (Rock en Seine festival, Paris)
They delivered as usual. Full on energy for an hour and a half

3. Bonobo (Les Folies Bergeres, Paris)
If you've never seen Bonobo live and you have the occasion, just go ! The guy does his albums all by himself, but he tours with a dozen (very talented) musicians, and the rendition of his music is incredible !

4. Moderat (Le Trianon, Paris)
Great audiovisual show.

5. Wax Tailor Phonovisions symphonic orchestra (Jazz à la Vilette, Paris)
Wax Tailor music played by a symphonic orchestra, what more needs to be said ?

6. Die Antwoord (Rock en Seine festival, Paris)
riot

7. Super Discount 3 (Etienne de Crécy)

Runners-up :
- Fakear
- I Am Legion
- Flume

Biggest Disapointements:
- Massive Attack
- Dorian Concept (solo, not the trio live configuration)
- Mr. Oizo

nice, I didn't get to any live shows in 2014 :/ ...But Bonobo live is something I'd love to see, great shout!

The Boiler Room DJ set is pretty epic too...His May Jane Coles Remix 'Something in the Air' is incredible.

My life is a boat, being blown by you. With nothing ahead, just the deepest blue... To me you're like a setting sun. You rise then you're gone.

From 2014 for live shows:

1. Simian Mobile Disco - recording Whorl at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown, California.

2. Tycho - Fox Theater

Pretty great recording of the band joining in and playing the track "Awake" after Scott plays a remix of the song.

3. Jon Hopkins - Mezzanine

No footage of him on the youtube for the night I saw, looks like. But here's a clip of him performing.

4. Eric Prydz - Craneway Pavillion, Richmond, California

5. Digitalism - Independent, San Francisco

Great show. Digitalism plays a great set consistently each time they come to town.

I don't know how it happened, but I did not attend a single show last year.

That is, unless, you count the Country Bear Jamboree at Disney World.

Trying to put together a long cross country trip, especially with gasoline prices being so low. So that just might happen.

Awful festival and crowd (organized by the French communist party), and some live versions of their tracks are terrible. Teardrop is fucking awful, just listen :

I see where are you coming from now, few of my friends saw them live and boy, you couldn't shut them up about it,
such were the words of praise for massive attack live.

Btw, who's SBRK on youtube? someone from the forum here?

I've seen Massive Attack live before, and I wasn't blown away.

It was just okay, really.

Wow. At first I thought they were starting off all quiet soft and lo-fi ish just as an intro, which would actually work, but it just kept going like that. Pretentious rubbish!

Didn't get to see much of any live acts this past year at all - of the few the best was Walk The Moon who played a half minute's drive from my doom. Properly good-if-not-groundbreaking indie dance act and they really got everyone moving. Best part was their cover of Talking Head's Burning Down The House for the encore.

I definitely have better prospects for this year though.
