I'm going to Barcelona in a few weeks to catch the Chems at Sonar festival (Woo Hoo!) but does anyone know of any good clubs and bars to go to during the week? Obviously at the weekend I'll be at the fest. I've never been to Barcalona before so I dont really know what to expect
Oh and good places to do some shopping too?

Girlelectric, it's so COOL that you are going to this festival! You're going to have a great time!
I've never been to Barcelona (only Madrid for 3 days) but I'm sure you'll be able to find your way to come across something fun to do and maybe hit up some clubs. One thing I noticed about Madrid was that young people were always out and about the city, the social aspect of life seemed huge among all age groups, and there'd be hoards of young adults gathering at night around 10pm which is when a lot of people are going out for supper - they'd gather at the fountains down the main promenade. The Spaniards are very friendly I found, and the men aren't too shabby either. *wink wink* ;) Just make sure you watch for pick-pockets, it's always been a problem in Spain!
So Barcelona... I'm jealous of you Girlelectric. ;) I'd love to go there, if only just to just to see Antoni Gaudi's work like the the amazing cathedral Sagrada Familia as well as his casa's. Like Madrid, Barcelona just seems seems like it really values its rich artistic heritage.

My friend bought mine for me but if you go to the sonar website (www.sonar.es) I think you can buy tickets from there and then you print out your documents and collect them from a ticket office once you are in Barcelona... Wow thats really lucky that you are working there on that particular date!
Good Luck!

Does anyone know where I could find a set list for the Sonar show coz there was a couple of choons that I didn't recognise from their albums that fooking rocked it.
