i went to see slipkont live once - it gave me a headache. :)

i saw ministry once at brixton. that gave me a headache too. i find those metal gigs a scary affair. far to violent for the likes of me. never liked the flying hair in those concerts too. always accidently end up with someones sweaty long hair in my mouth, not nice.

give me a club any day!!!
I'm a fuckin doughnut

ha ha , yeah i saw marilyn manson at brixton aacademy once, and though i dont rate his music ive got to say that it was quite a good stage show - very entertaining!! ripping up the bible, chest lacerations, pissing himself on stage, wearing a nappy and then a load of fake snow falling over the stage - it was pretty good!! :)

mind you, that was MANY years ago (97/98??) and before i discovered clubs - hmmm, moshpit or wiggly dancing??? i know which one i go for now!! ;) :)

I dislike his music but marilyn manson is quite smart. After watching an interview and a good friend telling me he read mansons book and it was very good.

I'd like to see a metal band play, just for kicks since metal isn't my thing. I think it would be a trip completely unlike any other I've experienced in the music circuit.

But yeah, give me a club or a laid back festival under an open sky and I'm a happy camper.

mwahahaa!
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

i tell you what actually, that slipknot gig i went to, i slate it because it was just a hideous wall of noise, but before slipknot came on there was the most anticipation, excitement and atmosphere i've ever felt at a gig before in my life (and ive been to quite a few in my time!! ;)) - it was mental, the kids wre chanting, stuff was being thrown about, it was literally electric - i have to say there was even more passion in the crowd than before a chems gig!! (i shit you not!!)

it just a shame they came on and sounded like a load of elephants with diaoreha running for the lavs, whilst screaming 'get out the way!!'

Yeah, Slipnot need to be destroyed.

The Iron Maiden gig I went to was in Nottingham, the anticipation was unbelievable, the supporting act were abused by the fans cos they wanted to say Iron Maiden. When they did come on, wow, I can't explain how mind blowing it was. Rock concerts definatly does something to you that dance can't, vice versa.

I love going to concerts, I just don't go very often now.

The most anticipation I've ever felt was at all the U2 shows I've been to from 1985-1993. The crowd were soooooo unbelievably into it, and the energy given off by the crowd was contagious. Everyone is up on their feet and singing along - their fanbase is huge but there's a feeling of community there that makes the shows what they are. I really like that in a show - when the crowd's into it, it can make all the difference in teh world...

The most mind blowing show I went to was Pink Floyd during the Division Bell tour. Everything about the show was amazing, it was quite a production - the crowd seemed a bit more sedate than I was used to (then again the crowd were a mix of young and old and frying alike!)

I just like music no matter the genre. I always hated country music could'nt stand it but i listened to a song a few months ago that i woud say was a country song and it was great, i just always hated the typical country guitar sound mind you it was an sfa song and they never fail to astound me. And i put this musical exploration down to the chems as i always listened to electronic music but one day decided to check out the chems influences like my bloody valentine and mercury rev and 23 skidoo people that they say they listened to and i've never really looked at a song as genre again it's either a good song or it's not it dosent matter what style it is. As long as it hits an emotional resonance i dont care what the style is :)

Yeah, I see a lot of genre nuts where I work. People that only listen to rock, or people that only listen to jazz, people that only listen to classical, electronic, etc. etc. and that's it. Sometimes genres are really hard to break away from when you get so used to one type of music. It's not a bad thing if that's what moves you, but there's so much more out there you just have to explore it and keep an open mind. You don't even have to admire music from other genres, just respect that it really connects with people and you never know, there might be that one country song that really moves you. ;) At least that's the approach I try to take - then again I don't give a crap what people think of my musical tastes! I'm open to just about everything...

I've never heard a DJ Sammy track.
