Congrats on your PS3 Dan B! Unfortunately I'm kind of retired from playing video games but I do know that COD and MGS4 are pretty much the fave that my friends play now, even though they try to tempt me to play. SC4 is choice if your into the fighting genre, cause SC is one of personal faves since the Dreamcast came out.

I have to say in my opinion that the PS-one was the 2nd best system (NES 1#) that ever came out cause of the many games that were available for it. Final Fantasy VII and VIII , MG Solid, Tekken 3, Resident Evil, and the already mentioned..Gran Turismo.

BTW, My first system was the Atari 2600!

got Soul Calibur 4. Soul Calibur games are the only fighting game I can stand (with Smash Bros). It's just so amazing !

SC series, SF2 CE and Turbo, Tekken 2, and M vs C2, are my faves. I was never into SNK fighting games!

GTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA is the best.

Im yet to play GTA 4 yet but I definetly remember some of the classics like GTA:London, I mean the soundtrack to that is greatt!!!!

My favourite has to be Liberty City though.

Just like Ben_J, I also just bought Soul Caliber 4. I got the fancy pack with the t-shirt and stuff. My favorite part about the game is the character customization. I could spend hours on that.

Super*Laura, GTA:2 for me was when the GTA series peaked. It's been nothing but frustration ever since. The only thing the new games have got for them is the soundtrack, which I have bought the box sets. I can't go back and play GTA:2 again though, cos I spent a LOT of hours on it when it was released and it just bores me now.

Me too, I was on GTA:2 for hours when that was first released. I actually really want to play that now!!! Yerr the soundtracks are good on the other games, yet they are way to complex compared to the good old GTA:2 and GTA and London. I bought the soundtrack boxset for Vice City, but I find the radio links in between songs do get quite annoying!!

My favourite game has gotta be Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Its pretty much every game Nintendo have ever released all mixed into one.

I'm saving up my game play hours for when the new Wipeout is released.

hehe, I still play WipeoutXL, and it takes me back a few years. If you unlock the secret hidden ice mountain map in XL, you'll get a wee Chemical surprise!

Supposedly, the new Wipeout HD will allow you to create your own soundtrack to the gameplay. It would be cool to see the Chems officially featured on a game soundtrack like this again, though.

ah wipeout, i remember every fri and sat night nearly id go to the video store, rent it out, get some red bull, and this other drink called hype, that was later banned! and stay up for hours playing wipeout and wipeout 2097.

what dont understand is why even on this new one there is only 8 tracks? i always found that weird

yeah but Sony are cheap-asses. You will probably be able to buy new tracks for 2€, new vehicles for 1€, new musics for 2€, etc...

I believe you'll be able to select your own music to play with Wipeout HD, but I'll know more on Thursday.
