The Bamboo kinda scared me, but I'm not sure if that was the weirdo crackheads trying to chat with us, the near-Real OC outcastalikes walking by the patio, or all the charlie making me a bit para. X-D

I would say all of the above! hahaha!! Ah - interesting times.

The Bamboo was surly that night. I blame Cinco de Mayo. It brings all sorts out of the woodwork, especially the ones that can't mind the cherries on their cigarettes - remember that girl nearly burnt a hole in my jeans? X-D Usually it's more low key there, although it does attract a rather vibrant crowd every now and again.

I really dig Brussels, that little Belgian place we hit up earlier. But the cost of beer kills me!!

Brussels was cool, but of all the beers that I can't get at home to try, I picked one that is now available here. D'oh!

That was a wicked night. The walk along the beach was cool. But I have NEVER, and I repeat NEVER felt as strung out as I did at LAX the next day. I'm lucky I found my gate and even luckier they let me on the plane. :D

Bosco, if you ever make it out here. The girls on that show are a gross misrepresentation of the locale imo. On any given moment all you have to do is turn your head and you'll see a pretty girl walk by that's more pretty than the girls on the OC show. Chances are they'll have more going on upstairs, too.

Its the same story out here. Although, I dont know if the girls are as chesty as in california. But then again, boob jobs are probably more common then the common cold in california. :P

I gurantee my Yuppy suburb town, will beat your Yuppy little beach town. Its the breeding ground for republican, white, robots.

Can you send a sexy Republican robot my way, Bosco? Sounds like just about everything I'm looking for in a girl these days.

I admire that in a Republican! Just tell her I voted for the Conservatives in the last election. (I did, actually, but that's besides the point.)

Yep, boob jobs are a dime a dozen out here... But unless they look totally outrageous and make a girl look like she's about to fall over, I've got better things to do than stare at peoples' chests.

There's always been yuppies, it's always had a hint of pretentiousness and is a lot more conservative now than it was back then - it used to be a lot more bohemian and laid back. It has still retained a lot its liberal and youthful qualities - something I am proud of for the time being. You can protest the Iraq war on Main Beach Saturday mornings. You can counter-protest the Minute-Men who've come in a rather feeble attempt to harrass the Mexican day workers - and the cops won't give you shit and people passing by will give you the thumbs up. It still has a strong art community as well as a college which tends to foster more liberal ideas and a more liberal approach. Despite it leaning into corporate territory and despite it having a more conservative edge than previously, it is a bubble compared to the rest of the real OC, at least for now. Since i'm stuck in the OC I'd rather live here than anywhere else - although I wouldn't mind moving a little further north to Seal Beach which is highly unlikely.

star trek: the next generation Birthright in English original. It's different when you're watching things you've only been watched in dubbed versions so far but it's great and I'm just starting to love youtube!

Madagascar had some funny scenes. My favourite is the one where the giraffe is falling asleep promptly and the one with that big-eyed, all-time afraid monkey or what it is . . .

Watched a bunch of random youtube and retrojunk clips at a friend's house.

In particular the Ali G interview with Posh and David Beckham. Great stuff. They were really good sports, I have to say.

Just finished watching 'Human Traffic' - a film that everyone on here should watch. Seriously, if you're young and into clubbing, you need to watch this. It's one of the best films ever made, almost like a documentary in a way. Love it 8)

I flick through the best parts before going clubbing usually. Especially the monologue in his room with the Bill Hicks clip.
