Let me tell you me and Jeanie had funnnnnnn on our date. Ok so i took a flight straight from Detroit to amsterdamn!! to see Jeanie. And there she was wearing a tight chemical brothers shirt with jeans and sneakers and that big smile. I gave her a hug and she took me to her apartment. I am thinking damn this is date is going so fast. She showed me her bedroom and asks me "would you like to come inside ?" i was hesitant at first but i couldn't refuse this once in a lifetime opportunity. This is a long complicated story , and i don't know all the english words but i will try to explain it as well as i can. Basicly , the company where i rent my house from , Ymere , is trying to fuck me over. They are trying to make me pay because THEY made a mistake.



This is the deal.



I rented this house from August 2005. From august 2005 i payed rent , but that month the people who lived here before , i call them K , also payed rent...so Ymere had to send the money back to K , as they didn't have to pay anymore....BUT by accident , they send the money back twice....two times almsot 500 Euro's.



Well , offcourse they want this one time rent they send back to much back.....and who do they want to pay it....?!



ME !!!



So basicly they want me to pay almost 500 Euro's , cause this fools made a mistake , and K got 500 euro's extra.

Offcourse i disagree ( DOH! ) and i made sure they knew i disagreed. I basicly forced them to admit they where wrong. I asked " If i say , that u guys made a mistake , do you agree ? " And she said " Yes " And than i said " So , if i say , that I have to pay for a mistake you guys make , do you agree " .... Silence.



SO now i wrote them a letter , and i got a letter back that i can expect an answer in 14 days....



Theb thing is , i DID sign a contract. But i don't know if it's in their right to make me force to pay this. If they can make me do that , well , than they have to show me !!!! ANd if not , well , i'm not gonna pay that fucking money...than i'm gonna sue them. yeah i know i sound like an american ,( No offense ) but it's not about 2 euro's and it's just fucking stupid. And all the people i spoke to who know a bi about this kind off stuff , say they don't have the right to make me pay.



I already tried to contact the peeps that lived her before to pay the money back , but they dont answer...they will probably never pay it back.



How fucked up is that ?!?!?!?!

You don't have to sue them, but if it gets ugly you (if it starts looking like court) then you'll wanna get a solicitor on your side

Jeanie, if you even decided to sue over this incident, you are in the right (and it doesn't make you seem like a sue-happy American) We're talking about the roof over your head here.



Do you have any proof that you made the payments on your place? Please please please tell me you didn't pay with cash!!!



I'm not sure how the law works there, but if you can prove that you paid your rent over the past couple of months (like if you wrote a check) then you are in the right and you shouldn't have to pay another penny til your next month's rent is due.



You may want to get some legal advice anyway if these people continue to give you problems. Landlords will most always try to screw over young people.

Whirly , i have it black on white i payed my rent. I pay it with my bank , offcourse i dont pay cash ... so yeah. I know i'm in my rights and all...I payed my rent for every month and i have it on my receipts.



BUT I JUST HAD TO LET IT OUT :'(



And stash , i live i bit outside the center. And 500 is exclusive anything...think of water and light and gas , tax , and what not that makes it fucking more than 500 grmlb.

not to piss in anyones cheerios, but under UK law at least the rental company does have a right to have its money back - a mistake, yes, a stupid one yes, but at the same time part of the responsibility for receiving the money and not returning it lies with the customer.



i assume the extra money went to K right? so its not YOU jeanie that they should be chasing up - in fact theres no way you can be expected to pay - i would imagine you have a contract from august to whenever right? and you've paid all your rent? nah, they havent got a hope - they could def chase K for the money (and expect it back as well under UK law), but theres no way they could get you to pay it.

I've bought a SuperCard for GameBoy Advance. It's a cartidge in which you put a Compact flash memory card where you have put games, and so you can play them with your GBA or Nintendo DS. I'm waiting for my Superpass to play Nintendo DS games too... A good thing : I won't have to buy games anymore :D

I just bought that uber nice boots for 150 euro's...
