Hey guys...So, I just typed all the lyrics from the Japanese release of WATN...I hope this will end the requests/discussions for the lyrics haha...There were some minor typos on that lyrics booklet...Enjoy!

3. ALL RIGHTS REVERSED

Ooooh

Heavens down

And hell is up

All rights reversed

Proven by the planets and their movements

While down on earth

The primal chaos

Is pushing backwards

But Even then the danger never stops

And no-ones stopping

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

Oooooh x 4

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

All rights reversed

Undertaking copy left while flying sideways

While down on earth

The primal chaos

Is pulling forward

And there are other threats below

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

It never stops

And no-ones stopping

It never stops

It never stops

Oooooh x 4

5. DO IT AGAIN

Ooh

Ooh yeah, ooh huh

I’ll sing the funk electric x8

Do it again x4

Oh my god what have I done?

(Do it again)

All I wanted was a little fun

(Do it again)

Got a brain like bubblegum

(Do it again)

Blowin’ up my cranium

(Do it again)

Oh my god what have I done?

(Do it again)

All I wanted was a little fun

(Do it again)

Got a brain like bubblegum

(Do it again)

Blowin’ up my cranium

(Do it again)

Ooh yeah, ooh huh x2

Oh my god what have I done?

(Do it again)

All I wanted was a little fun

(Do it again)

Got a brain like bubblegum

(Do it again)

Blowin’ up my cranium

(Do it again)

Oh my god what have I done?

(Do it again)

All I wanted was a little fun

(Do it again)

Got a brain like bubblegum

(Do it again)

Blowin’ up my cranium

(Do it again)

Turn off my robotic brain

All my thoughts are all the same

(all insane)

Do it again x8

Paint my face and bang my drum

Hold my bone up to the sun

Bang my drum and paint my face

From my cave to hyperspace

Do it again x8

Oh my god what have I done?

(Do it again)

All I wanted was a little fun

(Do it again)

Got a brain like bubblegum

(Do it again)

Blowin’ up my cranium

(Do it again)

Oh my god what have I done?

(Do it again)

All I wanted was a little fun

(Do it again)

Got a brain like bubblegum

(Do it again)

Blowin’ up my cranium

(Do it again)

Turn off my robotic brain

All my thoughts are all the same

10. BATTLE SCARS

There’s No Path to Follow x2

There’s a line in the sand

Put there by a man

By a man whose children built up castles made of stone

There’s a man in the sky

Giving reasons why

That line grows deeper like these shackles round our bones

Hold on to my arm

Here come battle scars

Is the final charge

Here come battle scars

There’s a child born

To a land of scorn

Sees past the borders and the lords that hold his hand

He was led like a lamb

All part of the plan

This castle crumbles as he walks out of this landj

Hold on to my arm

Here come battle scars

Is the final charge

Here come battle scars

This is what we are

Here come battle scars

This is where we are

Here come battle scars

There’s No Path to Follow x2

Living for the reasons of the dead

That moved to paper from their heads

Into my fingers and my bed

They leaving me strangled by the rent

I have no purpose in this land

Have I forgotten how to stand up

With humour and the need

I’ve got to find a way to be

I just turn up the stereo

I can’t survive without the gold

This culture’s falling off its feet

I’ve got to find a brand new beat…

There’s a road ahead

Between the live and dead

Church bells are ringing like the panic in my head

Step Step

One by one

Walk into the setting sun

Water rising, rising fast

History catching up at last

Danger ahead, left death behind

No one to follow but old man time

Time, time take us back

Before the line was drawn

Before the sky turned black

12. THE PILLS WON’T HELP YOU NOW

I thought we were going

To go up the field a ways

To join all the other living souls

But you never came

Robbed of your fortune

They bring disappointments and lies

You’re probably poisoning your body

I hope you’re alright

In a moment of fear

You dig in your heels

The pills won’t help you now

Won’t you call me

PS...Sorry if there are any typos...I typed them in a rush...

You beat me to it... it's funny, because the DIA lyrics don't match the version of the song on the disk

it's up for debate, I'm publishing the offical lyrics for a bunch of lyric databases, so we have tweaked the lyrics exactly, and I've posted them on about 5 lyric pages.

:)

not a ton of people go through the trouble of getting chems lyrics.

i actually never like getting chems lyrics - it's one of those things that were supposed to be that way - u interpret the vocals/ samples like u want - for many yrs u think it's something till some finer bloke comes along and tells u it's this, and then going into it listening all over again and discovering the joy of it was always something else.

that's the fun - there was a pt why the chems never published lyrics. am sure even for the non english speaking/ very conversant japs, someone just did the lyrics - i don't think they'r from tom n ed. it's against the whole idea of never publishing lyrics for 14 yrs now.

So my little lyric booklet that came with the Japanese copy of We Are The Night wasn't from Tom and Ed?

I'm confused. ;)

There's a difference between interpreting lyrics, and knowing what the right words are being sung/said in a song.

And I'm sorry for being nitpicky and sensitive, and I'm not aiming this generally at you - but it bothers me everytime someone posts "jap" when they are referring to Japanese people. I just find the term derogatory and offensive toward an entire people. It's just something we don't say here in the States when we talk about people that are Japanese. Or am I just old fashioned?

apologies if i crossed any lines again. ;-)

we don't have no japanese around except the chefs at the restaurants so I really had no clue bout they don't like being called Japs. I'm wondering why tho.

N valid pt on the actual lyrics thing - I just find it weird that they never published lyrics for more than a decade (there must be a reason!) and now they do for the japanese.

jacket!

^ No lines were crossed - I realize it may be a interpretive, historical and cultural difference on how the word is viewed. For here in the States especially California - the term came about during WWII, the Japanese got the shaft here in the US when a lot of them were rounded up and put in internment camps. And ripped apart in the media which perpetrated the use of the word jap in a mean spirited and degrading manner. Ever since, the word jap has bad connotations associated with it.

Hmmm. I inadvertently expanded on my lyrical interpretation bit without even meaning to, hehehe.

Anyway. Speaking of interpretations of lyrics/getting the words right - check out the sort of mad lib Life Is Sweet at link below:

I just got the US version and no lyrics were in my booklet =D

which means you are both wrong

and you are both right. =]

Japanese people don't speak english quite like we do. We can enjoy *i suppose they could too* not quite knowing for sure what which lyrics say what, but even with the actual lyrics- what they mean is more important. and THAT can be interpreted a thousand ways. it is ok to need actual lyrics to something, as long as it is ok to not want actual lyrics to something. I won't be reading them for the most part, but there are also not a terrible lot of lyrics for the most part, either! Part of the luster of the chemical dust we love so much is that incoherant megaphone shouting! don't look at them, or look at them, but the lyrics play some role whether it be important which words or what, or not.
