I'm not much of a reviewer so I wont bore you with my lack of words to express my pure bliss of emotions but it was definitely my favorite Chems gig so far! The stage was so close and the sound was incredibly loud yet so clean and clear. So excited they played the reel in the end I almost shed a tear. I feel very much like I've been hit by a bus today, the whole experience was a total assault on my body and I've never felt bass go through me like that before.
Highlights:
Meeting Krisper and Mikl, thank you for being to cool
Escape Velocity dude dressed in light globes! So Awesome!
Don't Think, Saturate and Believe were crazy. Favorite parts to the shows!
Hey Boy, Hey Girl new visual! love it!
Crowd spreading out for more dancing room!
Exploding Teapot!!
No mention (well that I could hear anyway) of the Salmon Dance request
Deep loud screaming acid clown!!!
Ok well the entire Chems set itself was pretty amazing! I was screaming, jumping and air drumming the entire time and felt like I was on this intense natural high. My husband and I were shaking for the whole drive home afterwards and could barely get to sleep as well.
Low Lights:
Traffic getting to Rod laver was a nightmare and to get from were we parked in the city to the venue in the rain was also not fun. About a 20 min walk.
Art vs Science we very meh but I tried to make good of an embarrassing situation by pumping myself up a bit. Future Music should have gotten at least Cut Copy of Tame Impala to support them, showcase good aussie music for once!
People with bad hygiene. Ever heard of deodorant?
Security giving the crowd water bottles so they can throw them at people.
I will probably remember more highlights later just thought I'd give my first response.
Only ting I miss is the LOVE IS ALL ending, but everything else can make up for that!!

Nice work, looks like the whole set!!! Best sound quality I've heard recorded for a chems gig too for videos even though a little low.

I think the melodic parts of the show actually means that they are songs not like alot "trendy" electronic music today BTW. It just shows diversity and offers something different that not everyone is used to in today's dance/electronic music scene for all the young kids out there that are starting to exposed and getting into it. But nice review

Thanks, yeah it's the whole set. I was overcautious with the recording levels cos i wanted to avoid any distortion, hence the low vol. However if you have good speakers attached to your computer just turn the vol right up, it won't distort... was recorded on a SONY audio recorder and synched as best i could to my digicam video footage. Had sore arm by end of the night but totally worth it.

And thanks to foxtrot for taking the time to record and going the extra mile to ensure there's no distortion.
I have my work cut out for me in the YouTube viewing department, after I see the Chems!
