Saw Sin City tonight and I was actually pleasantly surprised. I was expecting it to be eye candy (and it was!), but a relatively unentertaining flick. I enjoyed it quite a bit and there were so many great throwaway lines. Hilarious!

And of course, the irony that I was watching it on the personal recommendation of an internationally famous childrens' entertainer, kicked it up a notch.

Sin City, most definitely one of the best flicks of the past few years!

I'm surprised it took you so long to see it! It'll be interesting to see how the sequel pans out.

hahaha, I love From Dusk Til' Dawn, that was a great friggen ride! We saw it in the theater 2 nights in a row. I will agree that Juliette Lewis was good in that film - loved it when Quentin Tarantino's character fantasized about Juliette Lewis asking him to eat... her... you know what I mean.

Anyway, I just dug it. It went from being this serious flick to something that was nearly comical. And Salma Hayek - her sultry little dance number had me mesmerized. Until it all went to hell! ;)

Oldboy... it was a great film, some really good fighting. But it was very disturbing. I made me uncomfortable and when I said, "ewwwwwwww, no way!!" my husband just laughed at me. X-D You'll know what I mean when you see it (if you don't know already). I think Slipvin here mentioned this flick a long time ago about it being one of his favorites... I guess the point of the film was to make the viewer feel a bit ill at ease, it certainly worked with me.

Haha, dead on. The movie's supposed to leave u with a very very heavy heart. All cringed up. Heavy's the word for the movie. Good script, but brilliant screenplay.

Sadly saw Sin City long back on dvd, and missed the whole trip. It was never released in theaters here. What tripe. It was so much a theater movie. But am honestly not a Rodriquez fan in a big way. From Dusk Till Dawn was way more fun. Maybe cause of Tarantino.

Finally got hold of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Hope to get to watch it over the weekend.

Whirly is just prejudiced against movies that feature incest.

Saw A History of Violence last night. Quite different from what I expected, but quite good. Gripping, although I expected an extra twist or two and an extra half-hour of movie. Great ending though. Glad Cronenburg didn't try to tie up all the ends, or any of them, for that matter.

The ending of History of Violence was superb. So much was said without saying a word. It was a powerful, moving scene.

I've been let down by the endings of so many movies over the past year, that I was actually shocked by how it ended. Very moving.

I saw firewall today- Pretty predictable movie but not all that bad. Not a terrible thriller or action flick. The ending was too sudden....thought they could probably go into what happnened next but oh well.

Gee Harrison Ford is looking old though.
its a little early but thanks anyway

I've seen meet the Feebles at last ! And it's great, really in the mood of Brain Dead and Bad Taste. I loved it ! Thanks Whirly for your advice about that one :)

Edison.

Don't go anywhere near it. The name Justin Timberlake in one of the starring roles should say enough.

I haven't seen any movies since I dumped my girls, have to get used to the idea of seeing them alone again. But have to get outta this shite state of affairs!

Plan to watch something tomorrow - it's gonna be either Kiss Kiss Bang Bang or Garage Days (something totally random I just picked up on a whim, have no idea bout, and have a strong feeling will regret). Any advice?
