hi there
ive been after the switch remix of galvanize for quite a while now and managed to get my hands on a copy from ebay the over day
it turned up and it was just in a black sleeve (not like the one on antype's site http://web7.a1515126...galvanize.html)
the label on the vinyl looked ok-ish and looked as if it might of been stuck on a little wonky - but this could just be me being really paranoid.
the catalogue number doesnt match that on antype's site. the catalogue number on my vinyl is CHEMTDJX21.
the abe duque remixes sound fine but the switch remix sounds as if maybe its badly pressed or something. its sounds really fuzzy and as if its not the same audio quality as the abe duque remix and dub.
about three weeks ago annie mac played the switch remix on her radio 1 show and then she played it again last week but it was different to the first time she played it. it seems possible she only played the first half of the track the first time and the second half the second time. the switch remix i have on my vinyl is slightly different to both of these - its drops slightly later after the 'drum breakdown' than the version that annie played second time round.
i also heard a rumour somewhere that the remixes 12" was pulled shortly after distribution?
has anybody else got the vinyl i have? has anybody else the same problem? has anybody else got the remix 12" on antypes site?
my friend actually bought this 12" for me as he has a paypal account and i dont. but i know the person who sold it on ebay was called "atd_records" or something like that. he payed ๏ฟฝ11 as a 'buy it now.'
i cant seem to be able to find a search members function on ebay so i havent actually managed to find atd_records yet and get speak to them.
im going to bring this to the attention of virgin / freestyle dust. does anybody have a decent email contact or shall i just use one from the virgin website?
any info very much appreciated!
thanks

here's a scan of the label i have on my vinyl:
and here are two very brief clips which indicate the audio quality difference between the abe remix and the switch remix:

Shit - I recieved one exactly the same in the post this morning. I couldn't tell you accurately about the quality of the Switches remix as I have only heard it twice - on the website and on the 12" I have today, though the Switches (on the label as 'Switch') remix does seem quieter than the other tracks .
Mine has the same cat number CHEMTDJX21, no front cover, just the black sleeve. Bought mine on ebay from toby 19560, service was efficient enough, seller has 415 good feedback - seems fairly reputable :?.
I think you may be onto something gristy! :(

gristly - I have the 12" you scanned.. er.. one just like it. Unfortuneately, i can't PLAY it, because the retards at www.sanity.com.au sent it in a flimsy cardboard square that has "do not bend" on it. Well, guess what, it arrived in WAVY WAVY FASHION. Idiots. So now I have to try and get reimbursed and get ANOTHER one. Christ.
Anyone know how to fix a vinyl that's all wavy from heat?
