has anyone been to any good gigs as of late or any festivals. i went to see basement jaxxs at birmingham on wednesday, and they are not the base of dance music which i feared they may have been. has anyone got any interesting stories of gigs that have gone wrong or sh#t like that.

I had a great time at Sonar Festival in Barcelona last weekend - I checked out MIA, De La Soul feat Kanye West, Cut Chemist, DJ Yoda, Miss Kittin, 2ManyDJs and of course Chemical Brothers, all of whom were spectacular, particularly MIA and the Chems!

I saw loads more people aswell but my memory is a bit hazy to say the least... :?

I was talking about the end of the week, here's the lineup of Scopitone Festival :

Amon Tobin, Mylo, Hexstatic, Vitalic, The Hacker, Miss Kittin, Eric Truffaz, Blonde Redhead, Le Peuple de l'Herbe... I think i'm gonna have good time, specially with Amon Tobin and Hexstatic :)

Oh man, you're going to see U2? 8) How much money did that set you back? Because the cost for tickets here were quite steep.

I'm going to try to score tix when they come back to Los Angeles - hopefully through my brother. It's a long shot though so I'm not holding my breath. But if I do - that'll be 3 for 3 of my concert wishlist granted.

They've always put on a great show, they are exceptionally good live. you're going to have a great time!!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I don't mind the cost, coz my parents paid ;)

But I think it was 50 euros, and i'll be on the stadium grass :o

The tickets for the first day were all sold 2h30 after they started selling em and the tickets for the second day only 2h ! Luckily, I have a sister who knew where to go to have places without any queue :P

I saw her at Coachella, and though it was only an hour long set it was really good, really energetic electro-based house. She really makes an effort to hype up the crowd, clearly loves what she does, sings along with many of the songs (over the live PA) incl. her hit 'Requiem for a Hit'. Not to mention she's well fit. :D And she dropped the Chems' 'Base 6'!

I don't really know Amon Tobin. He did the soundtrack for the game Splintercell, I just saw that album.

Vitalic really kicks ass live. Powerfull techno stampers. Great.

So what's on my list: Werchter (Chems, New Order, Kraftwerk, Audioslave, Nine inch nails, Bloc Party, the Dears and many others)

Lowlands (prodigy, Vitalic, the Hacker, and many others)

K-OS in august, George Clinton and the Parliament, the Magic Numbers, Underworld.

Not that much 8)

I would describe her set as hard and speedy electro! I've never heard her DJ before and I was very impressed!

I'm so jealous! I really wanna see U2!

Ok :D i think i'm gonna have good time then. I hope she'll mix some chemical brothers stuff...

I'm not so happy to see U2. I don't like their latest album. But I would die for going back to the past and go to a Popmart Tour live...
