You girls must really comb through the chems myspace page? Or did you just happen to see a comment posting?

I check my myspaz every couple of days, and it's become mandatory to stop by the Chems' page while I'm at it.

The_Chemical_Sister has left a few messages in the Chems' blogs on myspace.

Evening. Figured I'd do a wee intro.

Posted a few weeks ago after the Roundhouse gig - superb night. Third time I've seen them, after Wolverhampton in 04 and Edinburgh in 05. Could watch them again and again.

Been listening to them since EPD, which I picked up on a whim after hearing In Dust... on a sampler album. Blown away ever since.

And the best part is I've managed to get the kids (5 and 3) into them - the heads go when HBHG's on, and they both know when to shout "push the button"! Might as well start them young!

Anyway, that's my intro. Look forward to kicking around here for a while.

Night, all.

I've tried. My daughter cocked her head to the side, and my son thought it was too noisy. What can I say, I tried.

My daughter liked the bass in It Doesn't Matter, when she was in the womb, though. hehe....

Awww evermin, can't blame a man for trying! What's with kids these days!

My son quite liked Johnny Cash in the womb...

And delighted to report that the kids have gone for WATN as well... dancing away this afternoon to Burst Generator, and trying to sing to Do It Again. Mind you, their mother wasn't too chuffed to hear them holler "OMG what have I done!"

@whiry - My ex-fiance's youngest really liked Johnny Cash too? He could sing many of the songs word for word at age 4 and 5. Go figure.

Sing Golden Path too. Then you get another chance to sing it....

"What have I done!" ... "How did I get here?"

hahaha graysquire, glad to know your kids are diggin' We Are The Night - my son digs Salmon Dance because it's "educational and about fish!"

He's also fond of Golden Path.

I don't know what it was about Johnny Cash, but everytime I was in the car and would put him on, my son would be kicking at my belly.

Stupid question here. New to group. Don't really know anything of Chemical Brothers other than I really like this "Do It Again" song. What exactly is it about? What does it mean? Anyone want to help? Thanks.

do it again, i.e. more than once...

I've taken it as someone who has done something, (this comes from the interview with Tom & Ed) and there's a menacing voice telling him to 'Do It Again'.

The dude is all like 'OMG what have I done?!' and his head is filling with doubts and fears as 'all I(he) wanted was a little fun' but he's 'got a brain like bubblegum blowing up his cranium'. All the while being told over and over to...you've guessed it...'Do It Again'.

Certainly don't make a drug reference out of it.

just my opinion.

Hi everyone (n00bs and old timers and everyone inbetween) -

Please take note of the Hot Tags. I spend a considerable amount of time trimming them down and organizing them every few days so it can hopefully help make this forum a bit easier to navigate. If you come on board and don't notice a thread about a topic or if it's become buried in all the other banter, gaze through the Hot Tags and click on one that interests you. For example, "Taflagar." Plenty of discussion already in the works.

If you want to post your own seperate review of We Are The Night and not have it get lost in the monster threads we already have going on, by all means go for it. The more reviews, the merrier. Or you can read/post in existing threads. There's plenty of reviews. Just click on the Hot Tag called "Our WATN Reviews" and dig in.

Hot tags on gigs that have come and gone, for example the Roundhouse and fabic tag, have been removed. I figured a couple weeks after a gig when the buzz has died down is a good time to remove tags and make way for new and exciting topics. Gig reviews and such for all past gigs have gotten the tag "gig review".

When making tags, please show a little consideration. "The" is not a tag. And neither is "we". And neither is "Chemical". And neither is "Brothers". And don't even think about making a tag called Chemical Brothers because that's just redundant, haha!

Thanks! :)
