The version of Galvanise they did during the Dec 07 gigs with the squelchy acid line on top was amazing. That's my definitive version of it

I agree, heard this version in Eindhoven 3 years ago. Best galvanize!

After watching Swoon again a few questions popped in my mind.

I believe the guy in the video is called Strawberry man (according to the credits). Why is he called that? Or what is a strawberry man. Is it a known English phrase?

The embodyment of Caroline and Strawberry man are different. Caroline is all natural, meadows, flowers, clouds, while Strawberry man is industrial, buildings, cranes, powerlines.
At the end when the kiss the are both birds in the sky. Has Caroline won over Strawberry man??

PS: and is K+D+B them having sex with all those flying birds in the open?

I haven't read the whole topic so I may be repeating something but the Swoon video clip has been played a few times on Rage in Australia. And as someone else mentioned, triplej radio plays most of the songs from Further.

You guys are over thinking this, maybe if the visual that followed were stock footage of a traing going into a tunnel, volcano erupting, etc it'd be save to presume such things.

I'd say the fact that it begins with Caroline diving in and coming out at the end, and swoon being sort of the climatic point imo, indicates it's a love story, especially with another world's lyrics.
(then I start singing the theme from "love story")

My awe for Swoon keeps lifting higher every week - I wish the Chems made an album with 8 songs in the vein of Saturate n Swoon..
1 Killer old school drum groove + 1 brilliant keyboard riff + lots of flangers + Ed + Tom = 1 SuperChems solid gold classic.
I will never get tired of Swoon.
