someone told me about this when i was in ibiza but i have only just remebered about this. if your in a club and you hear a tune you really like but you don't know what it is just dial shazam!!!! ring 2580 (this number only works in the UK, although shazam is available in other coutries) on your mobile, point your phone to the music and let the world of mobile technology take over. you get a text message back to your phone telling you what the tune is. the best thing is it works!!! i just been trying it at home and it got electronic battle weapon 7 right along with a few other tunes i tried. i cant wait to try this in a club for real. the best thing is if it doesn't know what it is it keeps it doesn't charge you for it.

lovin my technology!!

I've heard about this too. It has got to be some kind of music recognition program that breaks your sample to some characteristics and compares them to other characteristics in a large database. If it's done with a self-learning neural network kind of a thing, then it gets better with each sample supplied!

Incidentally, this is something that I'm going to study next autumn. ;-)
