I stumbled upon this in my travels, and let me tell you, it is horrendous. I was worried when I saw "Covers", but the "Mix" titling gave me a bit of hope which was quickly dashed. The only mildly good version is the Got Glint cover, and even that's just a terrible MIDI version of the original. I ADVISE YOU LISTEN TO NO MORE THAN THE 30-SECOND DEMO OR YOU MAY SUCCUMB TO COVER SYNDROME, WHICH CAN ONLY BE CURED BY A COMBINATION OF BEATS AND SALMON.

I got this as a promo when I used to work at Tower. I laughed out loud at the substitute Hey Boy Hey Girl vocal (sort of sounded like the person saying it had a gun to their head). Being an optimist I gave it a chance. I got through the whole thing once, then shelved it. Actually, this cd still sits on my shelf, getting buried in the dusts of time. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but sadly this tribute is to be avoided at all costs.

Oh GOD the substitute for Richard Ashcroft is TERRIBLE! It's like a bad lounge act. I almost expected him in the middle of singing "is it sweet and pure and true" to stop and say, "Hey! How's your steak?"
And, the same for Hey Boy Hey Girl, too.
I actually went through and sampled all the songs, and some of them I was like, "Oh yeah, this isn't bad." And then I remembered, "Oh, right, that's because The Chemical Brothers made it."
Pure shite.
