AFTER nearly 20 years in the business The Chemical Brothers are coming up with ingenious new ways of wowing fans.

Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, both 39, play a four-night stint at London’s Roundhouse from May 20 and the visuals will be as far-out as ever.

A source told me: “They have been filming piles of cornflour and water placed on big bass speakers.

“The mixture reacts and creates a mini eruption when music is pumped through it.”

And the lads are getting wet for their art as well.

He added: “Tom also takes a dive in a giant swimming tank at one point for some of the more euphoric new material.”

:o

I'm not sure what to make of this. Jumping in the tank live on stage or pre-recorded visual?

what the hell ? :D I guess it's pre-recorded material.

For a moment when I read the title I thought that there would be a giant swimming tank for the public, and that I would have to bring my swimming suit.

EDIT :

I think that's something like that (for the cornflour & water part)

So, what I'm gonna say is pure logic.

To people who go to London :

PLEASE RECORD THE SHOW !!! DON'T FORGET IT !

I second Maboul, but I amend it with "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE" and "I'M DESPERATE"

Wicked vid there Ben. There better be 3D glasses for all this new stuff. Good to see the bros upping it up!

Consumer, of course its a visual! If Tom actually dived in the tank and got out to play his gear fully drenched, then it would be adios Tom!

Does this mean we get to see Tom in a bathing suit? Or is it going to be more like that Salmon Dance cameo?

Jeanie I swear to god I had a dream very similar! You are like my psychic sister. My dream was years ago and I'll never forget it because it was so vivid and downright silly. I was sick and had this insane fever and was loaded on all sorts of cold medicine and cough syrup, so I know that's what brought it on. I know I had to have mentioned this dream I had, many moons ago - likely buried in the bullshit mega thread.

Finally, a excuse to show a big bang theory clip that is relevant to chems......

Oh, I was just thinking of that clip when I first saw this thread. Rynostar, I believe our taste in television comedy is near identical.

Swiming in corn flour seems like the logical next step...

They say filming so the corn flour might make good visuals like saturate. They could show visuals of the mixture and how it reacts to a particularly bass-rich song, speculation

A concert in a swimming pool, THAT's a good idea. But you'd better not shit in your pants !
