Sleep was blissful. I was feeling the effects of acute sleep deprivation last night, had a couple drinks, got a bit stoned, then took two lorazepam and lay in bed, feeling the hands of sleep grip me and tkae me into its unfamiliar world. Or some crap like that. Either way, it was great, so comfortable, wicked dreams, and here we are, well into the afternoon.

Sorry to be a bit protective but that's what forum parents are for. ;) I don't know if it was me and stash being very buzzed at that moment with heightened feelings of sympathy but we got a little worried because it can fuxk you up. DXM is weird - it can be good or bad depending on dosage and where you are at the beginning of the trip. I have a strange fetish for cough syrups, doing the Robo-dose - mainly when I'm sick and have the time, though. I find once I've gone out of the lucid state of the trip I fall into a fairly deep sleep and I have the strangest dreams that are so vivid and amusing. Like wake-up-laughing amusing.

My eyebrows also shot up a bit when I heard the quantity of DXM. Most I've done is around 200-225 mg, I believe. Since I'm always alone when Robodosing I prefer to keep a little bit on the more conservative side of things and spice up with a joint or two. Produces a very enjoyable, collossally stoned feeling that is insightful, occasionally visual, and heavy, warm, and comfortable.



I would like to hit the third plateau, which I glimpsed for a bit a couple months back. I'd never felt a sensation like that before in my life, floating, like my soul was being pulled from my body through my head, and my body was stretching, walking on my tiptoes from the tension. Lasted like that for about 30 minutes before returning back to a more second plateuish heavy stone. Of course, that was also the day I got my EBW8/9 vinyl in the mail so had that on constant loop on the stereo too.

Currently studying 'Drugs of Abuse' for a pharmacology quiz tomorrow. I remember when this lecture was delivered, I became increasingly frustrated with the inaccuracies or misleading (if not entirely false) statements made. The prof actually had a pretty decent attitude towards the topic (not a 'Just Say No' approach) and was pretty open about both the highs and lows, but it may be a sad statement (about him or me I'm not sure) that I knew far more about the subject (besides cocaine, which I learned a fair bit about) than he, a PhD in pharmacology, did.



I would love to teach a Drugs of Abuse course. I may actually approach the Faculty once I've graduated to see about creating one as an elective. I would like to get involved in the field in some way, shape or form. I've also contemplated volunteering/working at the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba. (And no, not just to find hookups from the patients...)

DXM is dexopethorpan - it is a disassociative and mild psychadelic, but in cough syrup it is the primary ingredient that supresses a cough.
