Ah, that's what I love the KLF for... not only the music, but all the surroundings as well. 8)
1995 they burned 1.000.000 ukp on a remote scottish island, filmed the whole thing and showed it to various people, raising discussions about why they did it, if it was art and so on. It was all their own money they earned with their music (they were the best selling british band in 1991).
If anyone's interested, I could write an extended text about the boys.

They earned it from their music. They had six top ten hits and a #1 album.
