Pete Tong has played The Boxer on today's essential selection. I think this is one of the funkiest tracks they've made! The sounds just gripped me from the start (there's also a catchy sample with repetition/stutter) :D 8O. I had a premonition they might play some more tracks as the album launch is getting closer and closer. Go to the usual links but I don't think the listen again feature will work til tomorrow morning.

It's a proper ace track! Not so much a EE World Exclusive though ;) I heard it on radio here on Thursday 'arvo.

I'm trying not to listen to all these bad quality previews of the songs, but I'm weak and I can't control my curiosity, so I had a listen.

I must say I realy enjoyed this track, a classic Chems work :P Uplifting synths, cool 'rockish' drums - thumbs up.

BTW, did anybody notice the ripping synth sounds from 'Orange Wedge'.

I just hope they dont play all of the songs on the radio before the album is in stores. That would kinda kill the fun of buying a new album.

iggy, that's nothing about me because i am strong 8) and wait for my copy of PTB. i can wait for those 2 more weeks. i'll just spend some more time with my girl and the weeks will pass like nothing.

thing is, i want more chemical brothers airplay here in germany as i want more people to listen to their music. in the past it always used to be me, some kind of weirdo, listening to "that kind of music"
love is all.

Welcome To My World. :P

The only station which ever played some Chems on german radio was Sunshine Live, and the other stuff aired on it does not make it worthwhile waiting for Tom & Ed, no matter how good their own stuff is. That's more of a personal punishment.

I dream of a radio station playing out Chems, Evil Nine, Freeland, Fluke and the likes. :(

Well, i'm not bothered if radio plays chems songs, I have the songs on CD and i'm not happy with those fools jumping on board saying they like the music, because of the hype or it's regarded as cool. I like to have the chems all to myself (in a non-homosexual way of course).

Currently: Resisting.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

in 99 i managed -with a little help of my friends :D - to vote HBHG in the N-Joy-Radio listener charts up to no.4. made it a hit tip first and then manipulated the whole thing so they were forced to play it! as well, i heard Out Of Control on 1Live and 1Live and Fritz as well play Galvanize
love is all.

Well, 1Live is the only exception from above's rule I think. Hey, they even played MY music once or twice. 8)

I didn't notice the 'orange wedge' noises b4 (I am now on my 3rd listen). There is also an explosion sound a la elektrobank and another really short sample just like from the mercury rev remix! :D So far from what I've heard, I think this is the best track :) .

I'll have a try. Going from that BBC stream and after some calculations I'd say around 1:35-1:50 into the track and again around 2:25.

The synth doing it in The Boxer sounds a couple of octaves lower than the one in OW.

The Boxer is my fave track do far, i have a feeling that this track will be the biggest success except perhaps for galvanize.

It kind of reminds me of the happy mondays, god knows why, just got that feel good factor. Vocals are really good, and that suttering hook is awesome. The bleeps do it for me also.
