When he got to security, they waved a metal detector wand over his arm and of course the detector went off.

Gosh... A metal detector ?!!

Were you going to see the Chems or the President of the USA ?! Sometimes, I think that security during live performance is overreacting...

BTW, nice story :)

EBW is indeed a warrior !!

During the time I went to raves, a lot of places wouldn't let the girls bring their make-up inside. Imagine that, a raver girl all dolled up and she can't bring in her little jars body glitter! X-D Same with chewing gum - not allowed. Back then it was about keeping the drugs away and little else - the rave crowd never attracted the types that used guns. Security's plan never worked because people always found a way to sneak their drugs inside.

It really does depend on the venue nowadays, but security is pretty tight, they're mainly looking for weapons and it's easy to bring guns or knives into places. At the most there's metal detector gates you walk through, but a lot of places use the metal detecting wands and will frisk you and check your bags, make you empty your pockets - and if you're a girl, dump the contents of your purse out.

I guess so...

When my wife and I went to Les Effervessonnes, we've been put through a control...

and they found my camera.

The guy wanted us to give it to him. But another guy one saw the scene, looked at my Sony P-72 and decided that it wasn't so bad...

So we managed to took pics :)
