I knew there was going to be an extra track, but I didn't really think it would be something so brand new, just like "Rize Up" or something... wicked !



my only qualm is that the album might not sound the same as it was originally intended to.. like with Surface to Air as the outro.. whatever.



On another topic.. I do Believe (;)) that (the Japanese version at least) will be a copy control CD (see hmv.co.jp), but what about the UK/US version. I really want a version that is not CCCD. I just want to rip it for my own pleasure!! Just to have it on my computer and not to share it necessarily. I have a personal MP3 CD player, but it often skips playing regular CDs and does better with MP3 CDs, so I'd love to have the MP3's... alright.

Hmmm. Giant...



Don't fret people. Maybe in the future there will be an EP and the track will be included, you never know. Or maybe a future b-side to a future single. I'm not going to worry, I'll just get this on import.



Why the Japanese? I think Tom and Ed have a soft spot for Japan. I think the feeling is mutual, Japan seems to have always been warm and receptive toward the Chems.

The reason the Japanese get bonus tracks is purely for financial reasons. Japanese versions of CDs are often far more expensive than it is for them to buy an imported version from Europe or the USA, so record companies provide incentive for the Japanese to buy Japanese releases by adding bonus tracks.



While I'm sure Tom and Ed do enjoy playing in Japan (they certainly seem to in the Fuji Fest footage on the DVD), that has little or nothing to do with bonus tracks.



Thankfully, the internet has made tracking down those bonus tracks easier and, occasionally, Japanese releases make it over here, such as when I picked up my Primal Scream Live in Japan at A & B Sound. Now if only they'd receive the Primal Scream Japanese best-of that I ordered months ago.....



Anyways, the summary is: blame Zimbabwe.

i've mentiones before that there'll be a bonus track on the japanese copy, as there'll be some live recording on japanese galvanize single. of course, that's quite shitty cos we'd have to imports those records for a bunchload of money but... i've pre-ordered it already 8)

i dont see the problem here.



if you get the standard 11 track album, you are getting the album the way it is intended to be listened. 11 tracks sequenced together to make sence. if you get the 12 track jap issue, your getting a copy of the standard album with an extra track bolted on to the side of it. a track that i guaranty will turn up as a b-side on a future single. i think Darkstarexodus perfectly made the point why the japanese get these bonus tracks. comments like its no fair or they don't deserve it are pretty childish, come on guys you know the score with life!!
