Here there's a "new" song (it's an earlier track) called "One Flight Over The Ocean".
Hope you'll enjoy it... I'm looking forward to any reviews, doesn't matter in which direction- bad or good. Just what you think...

Liquid Pictures on the other hand is a bit slow for me, but I am loving the background ambient synths you use and how they slowly intensify. You could make a shorter version of the song.
Now basslines is cool. Kinda the same snare set you used in The Midnight Surprise but I like small bassline sounds in the near background and the main 'ts404' bassline. You could apply some better chord progressions to the strings that come in near the middle. Otherwise, shweet stuff!
Now Stardust has the best intro of all your songs sofar. The big organ pad is very nice to listen to. Is that a MDA piano VSTi plugin I hear aswell? (Because its freeware :D ) Because its a nice addition to the song. Otherwise from making the song shorter or adding more to it, I like this one very much. Keep it up!

Well I really have to thank you for your very detailed review!!!
It's good to hear comments to get to know what other people think about.
Yes, Liquid Pictures is a bit long but that was intentional because I wanted to make a quiet, slow and moreover "liquid" means atmospheric track. Anyway I should shorten it to prevent somebody from boredom, I've already thought about that... And I believe you're right.
To Basslines, it might be that I used the same bass sample but that's caused by the lack of good material or sample sites from where I could get some free and well sounding stuff to improve my "performance" (or I'm stupid). If you have any idea where I can find such websites with beat or instrument samples so please please would you be so kind to tell me???
Well, Stardust I couldn't shorten it because if I had done so it would have made me feel didn't say all I wanted to say in this track. I hope you could excuse that.
These songs are not finished at all concerning the details (what you said about addition of something more), I know. It isn't so easy working out new songs and sometimes "the big light" doesn't comes to my mind. But keep on trying. By the way could you explain me what you mean by "...
through some listeners off guard" because I can't translate that into good german...
And again thanks for your statements!!! :D

From the context I would say he meant "surprising"/"berraschend, unvorbereitet". Could be wrong of course... :-//

Stardust is the best song out of these four I think. I don't mind the length at all, piano lines are great!
Liquid Pictures has a nice intro ... and it's quite trippy, but too long (well, not too long as such but lacking variation).
A Midnight Sunrise is an ok tune, the riff is good but I don't like the way the drums sound.
Basslines is the most boring one of these I think. Recycled sounds take much of the value here.
As a whole I would say that these are good works but they have much room for improvement. More variation and a little more effort to those sounds please. If you're using VST instruments I would suggest that you try to tweek them a bit more to get more varied sounds out of them (instead of relying on samples). I like your way of using "live" playing of instruments so keep that up! :D

Thanks for the statements!
I guess you're playing music too so do you have any ideas where to get instrument material or samples? I have been searching for a long time but what I found were just a little, not as much as it could be... Would be kind if you could tell me what you're using.

Instruments to play with: http://kvr-vst.com/i...atings.php?rt=9
Basic effects: http://www.kjaerhusa...ssic-series.php
I'm not using downloaded samples currently (I prefer constructing my own samples with vst) so I can't help you there.

I've got a piece of a new song which I'm still working on (so it's quiet short right now) and I would appreciate it if you would state any comments...

Liquid Pictures seems like a really nice ambient track, not sure about the hi-hats, but I don't know what you could change about them. It's a minor issue, because the rest of the track is nice, it's what I wish BOC would sound like - nice ambient textures + melodies, with a proper drum rhythm! It's not too long, look at "Desert Storm" by Orbital, over 12 minutes of ambience.
I'll listen to Basslines and Stardust tommorrow, I'm off to bed now, I'm knackered.

Stardust on the other hand, seriously impressed me, I agree with everyone else about the length, but I reckon if you don't want to shorten it, change it so that around 5-6 minutes, there is a huge breakdown. Like, leave a pad sounding ever 4-8 beats and nothing else. And then build out of it quite quickly, on the drums I reckon. Wow, I think I'm inspired to go finish on of my tracks I've been working on for like a year.
From what I've heard, it seems like the ambient type area is your thing. Liquid Pictures and Stardust were both amazing, if a little long, but that's not necessarily a crime in ambient music. The other 2 are ok, but the stand-out tracks are L.P. and Stardust.

When I was listening to my Chem's DVD lately I stuck on a melody from the live concerts named Temptation/Star Guitar Fuji... Inspired by this I tried to make a own short, very short version of it.

Question: Does "Tamptation" exits on any Chem's CD or is it an unreleased track ?
