It's closer than one month away, my friends. Patience.

I already have "surface to air", "galvanize" "believe" and "come inside" wich are tracks that i already heard (festivals, radio 1) But i couldn't resist to the tentation of listen "close your eyes" with the Magic Numbers. And it's a really great record. It's quite a "pop" record butnot a stupid sweet pop record. It's quite near to "asleep from day" and at the end the guitar is really good.

Believe is a funk acid track lol. More seriously, it's really exciting to imagine this track in concerts or DJ set. Probably people will become totaly blown away. It's have some funky caracteristics but i regret one thing: Kele Okereke don't speak a lot :? It's always the same lyrics. But it's not really, really important. This track is for me, a fucking amazing dance record. No problem with its powerfull.

Now, like most part of us, i'm waiting to 6 others tracks. I'mnot sure that Push the button will be better than Surrender. But what can i say, it's that it's really different probably the new way of Chems music.

Yes Nerd! I fucking love surrender, but i would say its more likely the best ever dance album than just a chems one.

Owa makes sure u do buy the album, many are holding out oh here for it rather than downloading as much of it as possible

i have all officials LP of the chems and it' won't be different for push the button. I only download song that i've ever heard. for close your eyes i was sure that it will be good and i download it, i couldn' t resist lol. But now, i delete it from my computer and waiting for 24th to listen once again.

For all the fans : it's gonna be a very good album. As diversified as Surrender. But different.

I got to listen to the promo this morning and what can i say. It's just amazing,

on this initial listen i think it even tops my fav chems album dyoh. When i first listened to dyoh i was grinning from ear to ear to the music i was listening to, the sounds and melodys just hit a resonance with me

on the initial listen to surrender and cwu i was slightly dissapointed there was was one or two songs that i liked straight off(my initial disapointment was probably due to the fact that i was so enamoured with dyoh but i love these albums now). This album had the same effect as dyoh had on me. I was giddy with exitement with what i was hearing, it is fresh and exiting. The only bad thing is that i have to wait till the 24th to hear it again. }:-@

I'm really stupid... I couldn't resist. But for sure I WILL BUY THIS ALBUM even i already to it. MESSAGE TO THE FANS : it's not a dance record album. it's a musical album. Be ready to determinate if it's their best album ! THANK YOU TOM & ED , it's a very good album. And i repeat to everybody : YOU MUST BUY IT even you download it. My money is already !

It's definitely a new way of the chemical brothers sound. For me, I supposed that is the star of a new path : like Exit Planet Dust is a very good album, Push the Button, is the start of a new golden age. And people who said that the chemical brothers regressed are stupid people: this kind of people only wants sensational think, they are old fans of rock'n roll , they appropriate for themselves personnalities and possiblities of musiciansand to say people "well it's over for them !"

FUCK the media which are only here to be insignifiant. Come with Us is the "worst" chemical brothers album. Not the best i should say. But if anyone say about push the button that it's an easy album, where the chems only give what they used to do are FALSE. It' a very good album, buyit and as said Public Enemy : Don' believe the hype !

It was my message of joice and hangry ;-)

To give more exciting : a review that i found on the net. good reading.

reviews

julia sydney australia:

I was lucky enough to obtain a promo of Push The Button, so I decided that sharing was caring and took it unto myself to write a full, track by track review of the album. This album, first off, is startlingly different from any of their previous works, but still manages to maintain that distinct Chemical style.

1.Galvanize ? Great opener, great single. This song is a huge, banging track and gets you right in the mood for the masterpiece that follows. The rapping and middle-eastern synths add a lot of flavour. Welcome back Chemical Brothers! [8.5/10]

2.The Boxer ? First time I heard this song, I was annoyed. It was so jarring and quite annoying. But later on in the song, a rolling drumbeat is introduced and this song turns into the catchiest Chemical Brothers song ever written! It has a hook to die for and the melody will be stuck in your head all day! An amazing, well produced piece of music. Reeks with creativity, too! I can?t think of anything bad to say about this song, so ill have to give it a perfect 10! [10/10]

3.Believe ? Whoah? WOW! Oh my god, the bass in this song is so pumping! This song is pure, old school chemical brothers, simple beat, amazing synths, great hook. I love this track. The bird-like synths in this song annoyed me at first but later on you realize they are perfect for this song! This song, however, takes a while to get into and only once it starts building up (about 3 minutes into the song) it gets ace! [9/10]

4.Hold Tight London ? My personal favourite off the album. It?s a very emotional song but it still maintains a cute dance beat and amazing tune. Anna Lynne?s whispery vocals are perfectly suited for this track. Simply amazing, it?s a very powerful song, something that I had never expected from The Brothers. Perhaps one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life (no joke) [10/10]

5.Come Inside ? I found this track to be just a tad weak, in my opinion. It has a lively, great beat, good synths and samples and stuff, but it seemed very same-old same-old, like most of the tracks on Come with Us. A Lack of originality was a problem that plagued come with us, and the Chemical Brothers have attempted with this album to create something fresh and new. This track fails in that department, but it?s a good song nonetheless. [8/10]

6.The Big Jump ? Very new, very fresh, very creative. This song is so weird that I can tell it will be very controversial. I, however, love this song in all its cuteness and obscurity. It?s got a good beat and u get quite into it as sounds become layered upon one another. Love it! [9/10]

7.Left Right ? I do not like this song. This song is PURE RAP, no dance beat at all? there?s no way you could move to this. It features quite a mediocre beat in the style of a soldier chant (Left, Right, left, right) and its got really cheesy synths and stuff in it. I understand the chems are trying to revolutionise their sound, but this song really should have been replaced with something a tad better. Good to listen to nonetheless. [6/10]

8.Close Your Eyes ? Oh my god? This track is BEAUTIFUL! Another runner for the best song on the album. It?s very emotional and very, very, sweet, it was a pure treat the first time I listened to it. The climax and vocals actually brought a tear to my eye. This track is perfect. Amazing. [10/10]

9.Shake, Break, Bounce ? This song is very quirky. The first time I heard this song I thought it was too weird for me and the synths sounded way out of place. But on the 2nd listen I learned this song is another amazing track! It?s so creative and such a good step for the chemical brothers! The synths really add to the song and give it a very quirky edge, and the European, Spanish-like beat is a good addition too. Always makes me smile. Good stuff. [9.5/10]

10.Marvo Ging ? Lol! This song actually made me laugh! It?s so cute and happy and very special, and always makes me want to dance. The backwards sounding synths and the very cool beat and melody blend together to make a fantastic song. One quiff I have about this track is that it?s just a TAD long. [9/10]

11.Surface to Air ? Mind blowing. Amazing. The BEST CHEMICAL BROTHERS SONG TO DATE. A perfect close, a perfect song. This song is GOD LIKE in its goodness, and perfectly encapsulates the mood of this album; uplifting, happy, brooding, contemplative. Unlike any other Chemical Brothers album before. A very easy [10/10]

To end, I have come to the conclusion that this is the best album I have ever listened to. With the release of Come With Us, my faith in the Chemical Brothers had faultered, as there was a lack of anything on that album that was fresh or original. This album has assured us that the Chemical Brothers have taken a HUGE leap forward in the right direction and I CANT WAIT for their next album already. Overall, a PERFECT 10. This album is a journey, you simply have to experience it.

Congratulations, Chemical Brothers. You've made a home-run with this one. This is a CLASSIC. I'm a fan. 9/10

Well I realy hate the fact that people are downloading the album like crazy now.

I just visited one of the Australian music related forums, and guess what - there was a topic about 'Push the Button'. The author of the topic said that he just listened to the album and that he didn't like it much, and he asked for other people's opinions.

There was about 20 replies and to my surprise none of them posed the question -how did you get the album? Isn't album suppose to be out next year? or Where did you listen to it?.

In all of the replies people were full disscusing the album, like "I realy like the track 8, but hate the track 6", "boxer is a cool track", "I think its too commercial or I dont like the rapping", etc. WTF!!!

This is just gonna make it more depressing for the rest of us who want to wait till its officialy released.

F**k is it January 25th yet?

Who cares what ones opinion is? If I read a review, I want a real reviewer to write a comprehensive, un-biased breakdown of the album. Not bullshit statements made through illegal downloads.

I wouldn't worry about those other written reviews or fair weather opinions too much - or any review for that matter. You'll be hearing it through your ears and not someone else's - and you'll be able to judge for yourself.

well.. indeed it's not really pretty to download the album now. But for australia the question is a bit different. Remember that the chemical brothers didn't go to big day outs from nearly three years. And many fans are waiting to the next album to decide if they will come to the gigs. I'm french and i can assure you that it's really in England that the chems are really sure to find "hardcore fans" , people who trust them and even they make a bad album, will continue to follow us. So for me, it's one (and not necessay available) of the reasons why they download it.

Problem of review : of course i know that the review i posted is not a good review. and so ? is it forbidden to post an impression of a fan? I don't believe. so sorry, if you're disapointed or hangry in with the review.

Point three. In my case, i don't have any problem of conscious. Downloaded or not downloaded i will buy the album. Of course it's a dammage to download it, but sometimes you can surrender in front of temptation no ? Part of me regret, but an another part enjoy. It's an eternal problem of "what should i do, what should i don't " that everybody meet in his/her life everyday. So, from my point of view it's more than a simple problem of released record or not released.

We're all fans here. And we are/where really excited to listen this album. And the chemical brothers didn't forget it. They gave "believe", "galvanize" two and one month before the official release. It proves that they know that we are waiting for the album.

There is no reason to be hangry. If from your side you know that you will buy this album you shouldn't preoccupate of what others do. No ?

Well, only one month an i'm sure that this story will be forgotten when we will give our opinions. I didn't gave mine. Yes... i'm also waiting end of january to do it.

i'm in a chemical peace :)
