flowers got a lot of good reviews back when it was released. bad thing is that flowers and journey are ps3 only. i have a 360, pc, 1989 game boy and a sega mega drive (genesis). so no flowers and no journey for me :(

ontopic:

just bought LIMBO via steam, but i think it has to wait until i start playing it.

I'm currently playing Saints Row: The Third. I was sold when I saw the trailer and one of the weapons was a big purple dildo. Unfortunately it doesn't quite live up to the expectation that a purple dildo brings - and that's the sense of humour. I haven't laughed much even though it's supposed to be a hilarious game. It feel cheap, and is really a poor man's GTA. They ripped the piss out of GTA:4 in their trailer for Saints Row 2 which had to be done, but there would be no Saints Row without GTA so they should give Rockstar the respect they deserve. Yes, GTA went down a different route, the route of gaming for the more mature generation but made a few mistakes which hopefully they wont repeat in the next GTA. It's not all bad though, I really enjoy the driving aspect of the game, now that is fun. Once you've upgraded your car you can have nitro and built up bumpers so you can go around smashing the fuck out of everything. I like the ability to customise your character, but they have gone over the top imo.

Us PC gamers have to wait till June 1st. Were you a fan of the originals?

I am a huge fan of the games, I don't have high expectation (lies) for the new one. Did you see the film? It was laughable.

Haha yeah, I loved Postal! It was Directed by Uwe Bol though, so I don't understand why I enjoyed it so much. Don't bother with the Max Payne film, it stars Mark Wahlberg and it's just silly. Some of the bullet time stuff looks good but that's about it.

Is that supposed to be some kind of smart arsed comment? Max Payne is epic, I don't understand how you couldn't at least show it the respect it deserves. Yes, there is no dubstep soundtrack, but the drop doesn't make everything better you know.

I hate dubstep, and even more in video games

Congratulations, they just invented movies.

Also "hey, we have Helen Paige as star actress for our game where we reproduce to the perfection the facial expresions ! So here, look at this scene where our top notch big shot actress is being totally unexpressive"

Playing LIMBO right now. I don't like it--controls are a bit loose, subject matter needlessly disturbing, and you essentially have to die in order to figure out how to do things.

It could be worse, I suppose, but it takes me back to the frustration of the o.g. SMB without the added benefit of the fun that comes with the cheese. The environment is very interesting, but ultimately not very fulfilling. I'm reticent to play through to the end.

Finished Max Payne 3 yesterday and have to say, had lots of fun with it. Didn't expect much from it and was pleasantly surprised by directing, dialogues, setting, voice acting, and with music. Some scenes where truly epic. Game has a few glitches here and there, but noting too annoying. Only bad thing about it is shortness of game. But then again, that's nothing new for Max.
