Thanks you guys! My dad is still waiting to hear back to see if it's a perfect match. We find out this evening and if all's a go, my parents will board the soonest flight to Texas. The hardest part is waiting and hoping for the best but bracing for the possibility of it not being the right kidney.

I'm so sorry to hear about you mother, Champi. Love to you. What an amazing and strong woman to have gone through what she did!

OK, so I know I mentioned this before about my dad being sick, on dialysis and on a list for a kidney transplant.

My parents got a call today and will know a little bit later on whether the available kidney is a complete match (tissue match) - basically, it was a "get your bags ready and prepare to book a flight to Texas for a kidney transplant" call. So we'll see.

Hopefully it won't be another false alarm, like last time they got a call...

::also crosses fingers::

Hope it all turns out well!!!!!!!!!!

<3

@Jeanie: Hope you get your house, too!!!!!!

@Biff: The gov'ment isn't coming to a halt. I've spoken with my brother about this. Nope.

Yeah, I hope for the best Whirly! My mom wasn't as lucky with her breast cancer, I'd hope you could spend some more time with your father.

::sad face:: :-(

I find it hilarious that you quoted my cracked out moment from a few days ago. ::laughs::

I don't know pooter, it did in '95, giving me hope our current crackheads in congress will have forgotten their backfiring shenanigans, though you're probably right :(

Thanks everyone, I think your well wishes have worked! My parents are in Houston and my dad is prepping for surgery right now! I may be heading to the land of big belt buckles and big steaks this weekend.

No, I don't have it :( He signed my Eternal Sunshine DVD too.

I felt a bit dumb, I didn't know what to tell him, so I just asked where did he shoot the footage for Star Guitar. He replied that he wasn't sure but he thinks it was between Marseille and Lyon, and that his brother shot footage too.

@ Michel Gondry autograph (Ben_J) How do I 'like' this? (whoops I'm in facebook mode)

Also, My housemate is aware I'm a chems fan and have been playing further on high rotation here and there....Anyway to get to the point, I pay the bills and his note for his payment of the power bill in my bank account was named "horsssh power".

(a bit of cheesy humour for the forum....I thought it was funny anyway Posted Image)
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

C'est trés chic! Did he come up with the train sketch himself or did you ask him to do that?

Ooh, that sounds awesome. Like a summer house for recreation. Seems like a nice environment to do your "classes".

Something off topic. We went to a big "grocery" for lunch last Friday, Wigman's, and right after we checked out there was a wall in front of us showing all the credit cards you can use there. One of them was named Jeanie.
I had to smile :]
