Hello kids and welcome to the Chemical Brothers forum. We hope you enjoy your visit. We are generally a friendly bunch who would love nothing more than to discuss all things and everything Chemicals (and more!!) with you, but please note that our patience has been tested these past couple of weeks so we're a bit on edge. Now... before you go spamming up the place starting random threads, please take a moment to review the following:

.

.

DON'T ask for links to the new album. If you want it bad enough you can probably find it. Or you can be good boys and girls (unlike me) and wait.

.

.

For the love of all that is holy, DON'T post links to the new album. Your post will be deleted or worse, edited for the amusement of others. So don't even think about it.

.

.

DON'T create another We Are The Night Album thread. Please. It's annoying and clutters up the board. There's plenty of discussion already in the works and there's links further down to guide you. Join on in and post your thoughts if you'd like. We don't bite that hard. Well, maybe some people. But not all of us. Here's a couple of threads to help you find your way:

http://www.thechemic...page&replies=40

.

.

DON'T be a mouthy little twit. You'll just end up having a miserable time. Just be cool and be yourself.

.

.

Please familiarize yourself with the appropriate forums. You can find them further down the main forums page. If you feel you want to start a new thread, just make sure it's in the right forum. I know it's difficult (as well for us old timers) but please use your noggin and when starting threads make sure they are in their proper place.

.

.

If you want to make a grand entrance and introduce yourself, make yourself at home and do it in this thread. There's always people to greet you, we come from all time zones spanning the globe.

.

.

If you have a question about functionality of this forum, just ask - here in this thread would be a good place.

.

.

Here are a couple more threads to help you get started if you want to talk about current Chemical events:

Artwork Discussions for We Are The Night can be found in these threads:

http://www.thechemic...page&replies=56

http://www.thechemic...page&replies=20

.

.

Postponed Album Discussion can be found at the handy dandy link below:

http://www.thechemic...page&replies=59

.

.

All right? All right! If anybody else has something to add to the list to help/warn/encourage/discourage the new folks - please do!

Now get posting and enjoy this great band called the Chemical Brothers!

UPDATED:

If you flame the moderators, you will be warned. If you continue, retribution will be swift.

No, we will not tell you who the moderators are, so you'd better be really, really polite to everyone.

thx, the mgmt.

Newbies (or n00bz, newbs, etc.) are often characterized by their lack of knowledge and seemingly unfathomable stupidity and ignorance towards the rules and etiquette of wherever they are. But this isn't the case with yours truly. No, sir! I've been working the Internet since I was seven-years-old, so I know how to work this. Because the Internets is fun.

Note that it is possible to be new and yet not be a newbie - the defining characteristic of a newbie is to be both clueless and unable or unwilling to get a clue for themselves. If you rtfm, you are probably not a newbie.

Okay, how do I get people to read this? Oh, I think I see a funny looking button. Gee, what will happen if I press it?

Noobs are generally known for their lack of literacy and ability to spell, as well as the common usage of 'OMG!11!one' 'LOL!' 'LYKE WHUT?1ONE11!?' and STFU LOLZ!!11eleventyone!1'. They are also known for their cry of 'OMGLOLZ LETS CYBR!!11!', because they are usually idiots who can't get laid. When flamed, their comebacks usually consist of 'LOL WHUT?' because they hadn't bothered to actually READ the message.

Yeah - a big cheer for whirly! Finally it's here - the noobs corner!

Now let's see the new folks introduce themselves (in english understood by most of the planet, if not the queen's!).

Also - for your notice, there's a "forumadmin" that visits frequently and is very strict on people who think they'r too cool (on the net) - beware his wrath!

I have many questions and comments about the functionality of this forum - none of which I could possibly type in the children-accesible forum.

Also!

Please don't use too many internet contractions/replacements. A btw, stfu, rofl, or whatnot here or there won't hurt, but in no instance whatsoever, should I be seeing words contracted into one-or-two-letter phonetic equivalents (ie, "b" in place of "be", "r" in place of "are", ..etc). It's annoying as hell and makes YOU look dumb.

I agree voodoo - text style messenging is good for phones but doesn't translate too intelligently on message boards!

prochem - check on this link for instructions on how to quote (these threads are also are tagged ' quote '):
