I thought it would be good to gather all the advices and suggestions in just one thread to make it a 'lil easier for the developers to notice our thoughts and opinions. Maybe they're reading this . . .

They are reading! Big Brother is watching us.
I need to think about improvements... I think the major ones mainly have to do with the forum. But I sort of want to save my criticisms since everything is... still so fresh. Things will be tweaked on that forum front, I'm sure. I will be patient.
As for other parts of the forum, I need more time to go over everything.

Yes, it's not a must. But if you notice a thing that bothers you why shouldn't we spotlight it and let them know what could be improved or changed.
So far i'm amazed as all the others here. Tom had definately his finger in the pie regarding the "freshness" funkction besides "last poster" :D. Everythings is so cool here. Now i can listen to stuff i always wanted to, like some tunes on certain singles. This is really outstanding. I think Ed contributed so much to this new site as well. Edit button, the recipes section etc. There's so much to thank them for!

Some suggestions from my side:
could you please re-add the smilies and text formatting function together with the post amount counter?
I'm also desperatly looking for a searching button . . .
But that's enough for the moment. I'm enjoying now what you've done!
Congrats, dudes!

Now all we need is for Ed to show up and the forum will implode with excitement. ;)
I agree, though, if something's buggin then you might as well say it and get it off your chest. But right now I'm still buzzing from the change but I am sure some comments/suggestions will come once I've wrapped my head around it all.
What I like, is I really feel people-in-charge have been reading and listening. I really feel the improvements and extras and everything else the new site offers is because there is something special here with the fans who are here because of the great music. It really is a lot to thank the Chems for.
Now I'm getting all sappy and sentimental!!

Here are my problems:
- The avatar upload does not seem to work at all.
- Keyboards in my country do not have "backticks", so if I ever wanted to use mark up, I have to copy and paste the symbol from the bottom :(
EDIT:It seems mark up does not work at all
Example:strong
This does not make it bold/strong
- There are quite a few typos on the Good Things section
- I can't log in as my old account. I'm not sure if others can (I think it may have something to do with the fact that there was a space in my old account name, but I'm not sure.
So far, thats about it. Good job 3ev and whoever else involved in our nice, new, shiny board's creation!

I think part of why the navigation is a bit confusing could be the Latest Discussion portion of the main Forum page.
The Latest Discussion is quite a hefty chunk of the page, and the Forums (chemical talk, etc.) is all the way down at the bottom. While it's nice to know what the hot latest discussion is (and the Freshness factor rocks, it must be fresh dammit!) the Latest Discussion/hot fresh topics tends to dwarf the rest of the forums down at the bottom of the page. You click on a topic in Latest Discussion and it's easy to lose your way and not know which forum you're actually posting in.
It might help not just to have color tags for unread topics, but different colored tags for each forum. Like we are the night forum can have blue tags, Chemical Talk can have red tags, and so on and so forth.
That way for example, if you see a thread in the Latest Discussion with a blue tag, you know just by looking at the color tag the thread originates in the we are the night forum.
Know what I mean or have I made a rambling mess of a post?

I don't know if it's just me, but this is the second computer I've tried out the site on, and I still have trouble listening to the streams from any given page.
If there is just a heavy demand for the streams, that is one thing, but if someone can let me know if there's something I can do or download to allow me to listen to the music streams without having it suddenly cease mid-track, that would be great.
::cheers::
