I'm still waiting to buy it, but I've already... well... you know... I cannot wait.
The DVD is great, but there are 2 bad things, Fire's video is missing and Voodoo Pendulum's video sucks, it's like a 3min made video.
I would like to hear new stuff from Fluke, and well... it has already been a year... Tom... Ed... cough cough... hello? ;)

I've heard about 2 hours of the 3 hours set of Bondi Beach... It's truly good. I really love the last part, with Sunset(Bird of Prey)/Slash Dot Dash/Cangiva/Seven Nation Army
Is this on CD? Or is it like a download only thing? I would love to buy it if its on CD or DVD ... and... well, I wouldn't love downloading it :(
Yeah its out on CD (i saws it at HMV 2 weeks ago)....well down here it is so it should be over there too.
Basically the cd was released a few weeks ago to promote the event. The set off the internet that is floating around is live.
I never knew about his hard times before Palookaville, It refects in the album. But hopefully he will release a killer new one and more dj sets are to come.

I didn't spot anything I'm waiting for so let me share with you
Beth Orton - Comfort of Strangers
Have that one (ok, I downloaded it). Pretty good but a bit short. Lots of acoustic songs on it. Like the last Daft Punk album, this was recorded in two weeks.

Also have this one (yes, also downloaded!). Nice selection but it's imho one of the weaker BTM compilations. That new Prodigy song Wake The Fuck Up is not really good. Kinda fucked up electropunk. Sounds like a b-side actually.

At one point I may have said M.I.A., also, but I have a terrible suspiscion that she's going to be the new Missy Elliott and everything henceforth is going to suck.
Modern music (with very few exceptions) really, really sucks.

Just a couple months out of the record store and I'm out of the loop. It's weird, I don't know what's what anymore... I don't so much miss working at the record store but I miss the daily hope that on the off chance something's going to catch my ear and blow me away.
I'll have to look to you all for fresh and exciting musical news and recommendations!

Dude, thankfully, because she had been there so long, she got all the music for free.
Cool, not a bad job then. Get anything else for free dvds?
Sometimes, but the people in charge of the video section used to get most of them. Got more VHS's back in the day.
I'll miss that, because I don't really seek out new music, almost everything I listen to was vetted through Whirly first, because she knows exactly the sort of thing that will appeal to me... Actually, I think M.I.A. was the first thing in years that someone besides her turned me onto. I don't even listen to the new albums by people that used to be my absolute favorites... I think I listened to the new NIN album for about 15 minutes, because the Fragile sucked so fricken bad.

But I do my bit for Chemicalism... Like on Sunday, we were racking a best of 2005 display and instead of Mylo I racked a shit load of Push The Button on top of the display!

Right on Girlelectric!! Pimpin it out, record store clerk stylee!!
The cool thing about my position at my old job, I was visual merchandiser. That meant if I felt the Chems would look smashing on an endcap, I'd put it there (and my boss was generally pretty cool about that). But as time went on and we got more visits from regional head honchos plus considering all the money in advertising the record labels would shell out, I had to be somewhat modest in my attempts at visually pimping my favorite albums on an end cap when something else was supposed to be there instead.

It had it's moments! Way back when, before Tower Records became a corporate megamart, it was loads of fun working there and I had a really cush job doing something I absolutely loved doing. Over time the job changed and became a drag because the company became a drag - I have my reasons for bitching and moaning which I'll spare you all of, but it was cool for most of my duration there. I have a great portfolio to show for it, plus a decent collection of different sorts of music.
If anyone is at all interested in music, I highly recommend doing a stint in a record store. Any kind of record store. It's amazing how much you learn as long as your ears are open. You can learn a lot from your coworkers and even the customers. It's cool... The biggest compliment I could ever get was when a customer trusted my judgment enough to actually buy something off my recommendation or the way I described something.

It was all about the label reps asking me to hang a poster or make a little doodad display, then they were putty in my hands! muahaha!

Wake the Fuck Up, was the song with which they've started their show at Creamfields 2005 Buenos Aires, and I can tell you, it's a great song.
This song is also the one used in the opening of their DVD.
