well, if you happen to come with or without winning that contest, we got a couch at my house with your name on it. Plus, I still got a vacant ticket if you want to claim it ;-) :P

Appreciate the offer, but I really shouldn't miss school. So we're going to let fate decide if I go or not. If it's meant to be, I'll win. If not, then not. :)

Thanks though! :D

no problem! figured i would give first crack at it to someone that enjoys the band as much as i do, rather then dragging one of my buddies who could careless about the concert. :)

I had to miss school when I saw the chems in 2005 :p

I missed school to see them DJ for NYE and I was mentally out of commission for about two weeks afterwards. I tend to party a little on the hard side and tend to need recovery time after a solid bender. When I got back I was really disenchanted with school, life, etc. Any other time of the school year than first week I'd probably go no questions asked..... Still, you never know....

I love the album. Reminds me a lot of the better parts of 'Human After All' and sounds a bit like Digitalism. Apparently there is absolutely no sampling on the album: every sound is original.

I saw them DJ last night (see Buzzed Posting) and was treated to a good time.

actually i never heard of them till i saw your buzzed posting last night....just so happens i was in borders today looking through the limited amount of dance/electronic cds they have. Came across the last copy of MSTRKRFT (was the cheapest one there at $13.99 ) decide to give it a try. Glad I did. This album screams for you to get up on your feet and dance.

and your right it does sound like digitalism....perhaps with a hint of VHS or BETA ;-)

Don't let them hear you call it a DFA1979 side project; Jesse is very firm that this stands on its own. In fact, DFA1979 is on hiatus at the moment.

But yeah, the connection is how I got interested in MSTRKRFT.

I gotta say it is pretty, we like the color too! stash was going to go with silver until we saw the red one. It's nice because the red usually comes rather tricked out, but this one's the car stash wanted with no extra overpriced frills (although they threw in Sirius satellite radio free for 9 months). Plus that new car smell. X-D I'm just glad the process was painless and people weren't hounding us and treating us like criminals like they did at the last dealership when we walked in and said we had our own financing. What weirded me out about the whole thing was the guy who sold us the Scion had worked for a Ford dealership in the area for 17 years - he actually sold me the car I'm still driving 6 years later.
