I bought the Talkie Walkie record the day it came out. It is good, man, reaaaaaaaal good! It's hearkens a little back to the Moon Safari days - it's not the same thing and it's not as kitschy if you know what I mean. A lot of the songs have a sort of warmth to them, but some of the melodies within the songs throughout are light and... well, airy. :D What I like about the record is that it can go well in any kind of situation. It's good music to cruise around to while you're Sunday driving, it's good for a rainy day, it's good for a sunny morning, it's good to wind down to - and for me it has the ability to slow life down a little bit so you can appreciate it more. Just a great record all around and time spent listening to it is time well spent.
