They're just. Too Quiet.

Ah, well. At least I saw Hanna in a really loud, decently bass-heavy auditorium.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Yeah, the place where I saw Don't Think could have been louder. But I can't complain. It was much louder than I could have it at home, without being evicted or having the cops called for disturbing the peace! :D

I'm seeing it next Wednesday at a newer theater, close to my home. In an IMAX theater. The volume is always cranked for every movie I've seen there - Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Dark Knight, etc. So I am hoping the volume is just as loud for Don't Think.

Yeah, nowhere near loud enough in Sydney, and no deep bass. I am going again on Friday to a different cinema, but I expect much the same.

I can't wait to get the DVD so I can watch it with some volume.
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

yah I'm pretty upset with the sound levels....should have been much higher. Blu-Ray will make up for it but the whole pt of the big screen is the big sound to match. Grrrrrr.

I thought the film tonight was going to be on the IMAX screen but I was mistaken. Still, the theater I just saw this in was one I've been to many times before - clean, plush, stadium seating, good sound. So, good things!

And the volume was CRANKED tonight! Much louder than it was last week at the Arclight. So maybe it just depends on the theater's overall sound system and how far cinema management is willing to push the volume...

My theater wasn't as loud as it could have been, either. I wouldn't say it was too quiet, but it certainly wasn't booming. The bass wasn't overwhelming like I had hoped for.

This was only frustrating since I've recently been to this theater and felt old because I thought a movie was too loud. I know they were capable of turning it up some.

On the other hand, this was playing in multiple venues in my general vicinity, so I was lucky. I know others really had to travel for it...
Gonna work it out...

My experience was a very loud one last night, although the bass was not as grumbling as an actual concert. I wasn't really expecting it to be, though. That low frequency grumble that feels like it's bubbling to the surface beneath your feet would be hard to duplicate exactly in a movie setting.
