Star Wars Battlefront II comes out tomorrow... thank god I gotta son, cuz I have an excuse to buy it. The first one was awesome, I played a demo of the new one, it's gonna be even better..
oh, and F.E.A.R. is really scaring the shit outta me right now... serious like, jump back from the monitor and pee on yourself scary. I need a new PC, so I can play Battlefield 2 and the brand new Quake 4, going to start buying parts this month, and put together a 1337 box.

F.E.A.R is way more demanding then Quake 4. Q4 runs really smooth on my PC while I get huge fps drops in F.E.A.R, if you want to play it smooth you need lot's of fast RAM...
Q4 is funnier too 8) - fast paced and crazy, it's got the right Quake feeling :D
Matrix path of neo don't look that good if you're comparing with new games that are out now, but it is a PS2 game after all...

Weird, I can run F.E.A.R., at about 25 frames per second, not great, but ok... the sys reqs for Quake 4 said they needed a 2 gig processor, at the very minimum, and I'm still running a 1.4.
Maybe I'll download Quake, just to see what it does... I'm thinking of just getting an xbox360, and get Quake for that, but my 'puter is pretty much dying anyway, and it's time for a rebuild.

I've tried the X360... Honnestly the graphics are nearly the same as in XBOX games... And the controller... The same as the XBOX, with 2 more buttons ? They call that innovation ? For the few new things added to the XBOX, I don't think the 360 is worth $300 (even $299.99)...

I'm leaning more towards just building a new computer... if I get an xbox, i gotta pay for games (there's no way I'm going to mod a $400 console) and with the computer, games are free.

"games are free"... well.... yes but you need a very expensive PC to make games with a good framerate.
I tried the Xbox360 too: PGR3, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, DOA4... The gamepad is really cool. Not very different from the controler S but still good.
The graphics in games are ok, but not that great for a next gen hardware.
waiting for the revolution and the ps3...

I don't like the controller S... It's not intuitive at all IMO. The buttons are not pleasant (IMO again).
I'm waiting for Nintendo Revolution cause it's really going to innovate in terms of gameplay. I don't care about graphics and all that, because now, the innovations on the graphisms are no longer as hitting and impressive as btw SuperNES and N64 for example...

I can build a 'puter that can run Quake 4, et. al. for under $600. When you build your own, it's half as much as buying it pre-built.

and no nintendo.
Nintendo is great... if you're 11. Along with the finest possible graphics, I must have copious amounts of gore and swearing in my games.... when I frag an opponent, I want to be able to tell which digital chunks are his spleen from which chunks are his kidneys. THAT is quality, IMO.
