I was going to sign up to Myspace the other night, but the names I was thinking of using are taken! There are Consumers everywhere, and Jerk Chicken is gone and Front Toward Enemy and all the other aliases I could think of. :(
Plus it seems bots or dumb people have registered a shitload of accounts, but don't actually use the page! :x

if any of you guys have myspace, add me, it's on my www button below, i won't post it so spambots don't molest it
Nice layout! Surrender's cover is definitely my favourite out of all of them. 8)

Social networking programs are fucking lame.
The entire internet is a fucking social network, go make a real web page, and leave myspace to the 14 year olds and the grown men who love them.
Just because u don't use it doesn't mean it's lame stash I thought it was lame at first , but if u dont put all the freaks on there into calculation it's really cool.

I really don't get the whole friends who aren't friends thing... I mean, I can get that people who share common interests but have only met on the internet might like to talk to each other (this forum hehe) but just adding friends so you can say you have more "friends" is a very strange concept imo. Facebook on the other hand encourages you to communicate more frequently with people you know and to bemore sociable in real life, myspace actively encourages you not to meet the people you talk with on their site. Because they are stalkers/murderers etc. :p

I just don't have a lot of overly revealing info on myspace. My page totally sucks and I'm perfectly fine with that. I've had an account there since 2004 and so far I have 13 friends (including that Tom guy who instantly becomes your friend when joining - he stays, hahahaha) I only recently bothered putting a pic in my profile and that was because when I posted a couple of times on the Chems site it looked completely lame to not have something next to my name. stash was giving me a hard time last night as I was on there and I told him I do it for Tom and Ed and the people that love them - which is true, found about about it from a couple of people on the old mailing list and the rest is you guys! I have a couple of people from Tower who've found me since I quit that job, which is fine.
What I don't like about myspace is the spam I get or the friend requests from people I don't know. There's a high school element about myspace that is a little beyond me at my age. Not that I'm too good for it by any stretch, it's that I don't have enough hours in the day. I'm not interested in networking on a large inter-level - I'm not going to click on Jeanie's friends I don't know and send friend requests just because I'm bored that day. I much prefer a smaller, tight knit community like the kind this messageboard fosters. If it all were to end here tomorrow then yes, myspace would be a good hub for keeping in touch.
Another thing that does throw me off about myspace is that it is so easy to find people that prospective employers only need to have a gander to see what's going on in someone's private life. Current employers can probably do the same. I've read articles about this and it kind of weirds me out. I don't want nor do I need people checking up on the intimate details of my life off the clock. Same goes for my extended real life family. And any potential myspace stalkers.
That said I'd be lying if I said I haven't succombed to the dark side. It does have its lure. I've been on myspace more in the past couple months than I have from 2004 to new year's day 2007.
