I've heard better electro OST, daft punk with tron for example...

How the F**K can you judge or rate an OST if you haven't even watched the movie yet!? The whole beauty of an OST is its proper use in the movie scenes.

And go back in the cave where you came from.

I hope you can give the score a chance and see how it ties in with the film, linux. You may have incurred the wrath of igorchete but the point is totally on target.

It wasn't too long ago Daft Punk were criticized for their work outside the context of Tron...

Though I am not always successful, personally I am trying hard to separate the The Chems/Hanna and Daft Punk/Tron. They are different movies, different scores, different contexts, more importantly 2 different beasts entirely.

Biff - mo respect to you for waiting for the proper release!

FFFUUUUU I miss the full preview by less than an hour
Container Park totally kicks ass !!!!
The rest of the OST is also good, I can't wait to see how it blends with the movie.

I don't agree, an OST should be appreciated outside of the movie. I was disappointed by Tron Legacy OST even though I haven't seen the movie. But I love Hanna OST even if the movie won't be released before two months.

I haven't heard the full Hanna OST. The myspace page didn't work porperly. I'm liking what I hear so far.

But I'm posting to give credit to Tron Legacy OST
It was DP first go and the made a proper OST. It is very much an original score like Hans Zimmer but they made it their own with the electronic part. Just listen to the End credits, it goes from electronic to orchestra, from computer to naturel, from robot to human. So very much like Daft Punk.
I like the Tron OST very much.

It sure was a challenge for them to create orchestral music, since they never did that before, but the result was sooo basic ! Just listen to the main theme, how unoriginal is that ? The electronic part is not bad, bu its potential isn't exploited enough IMO (the tracks are mostly short and repetitive).

Yeah I agree. The Tron soundtrack could have been composed by many other classical composers. Except for a few tracks that truly bear the DP mark, the score is not that outstanding to me, and using a sh!tload of Hollywoodian strings does not make everything.

The full preview is not available anymore, only 5-6 tracks remain now.

It's only my opinion!
Ok, Chemical are one of my favorite artists, but not everything they do is gold!
Ok, Tron and Hanna are different film, but is always an electro OST!

You really think the Fight Club OST would have been that popular if the movie wasn't as successful as it was!?

Tron Legacy OST fitted the movie quite well, but the movie sucked on many levels (imo) and it spoiled the OST for me.
