The Chemical Brothers' collaboration with the Flaming Lips will be titled "The Golden Path." It is described as a "psychedelic, up-tempo and emotional wide-screen." This along with the K-Os collaboration will be the two new tracks on the singles: 93-03.
"The two new pieces of music we've made are easily amongst the two best pieces of music we've ever made," says Tom. "They're so different, but they seem to, in different ways, bring together lots of the ideas that we've had over the last ten years."
The Singles 93-03 has be said to be a "stepping stone to our next album, not the retrospective kind of thing, but sort of a full stop at the end of a sentence, new paragraph, next record."
He also says in regard to the new album, "We're having a real creative burst at the moment and we're really making lots of music."
Along with this exciting news, the chems say they will be doing a DJ tour this fall in the US, Ed explains that "it's almost like a greatest hits selection . . . We have a pool of about twenty Chemical Brothers tracks that we choose to play every night, and a lot of them are the hits. So it seemed odd to play a tour based around the singles. DJing seemed like a simpler way of appearing and representing."

Oooooooooo!!!!
Thanks for the news Biff. I really hope they consider a DJ stop in Los Angeles!
As for the Flaming Chemicals collab, I expect brilliance, and have been expecting brilliance since I first got wind of their working together. Flaming Lips "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" was one of my favorite releases over the past couple of years, no kidding. It's just an amazingly solid record, very psychadelic, full of texture, fantastically put together, just perfect. I am itching to hear this Golden Path song!

Oh well. I'll probably record it for everyone and maybe mix it if I have time...
