BUT in all honesty, prior to what was mentioned, this track can not compete in psychedelicness with private psychedelic reel, sunshine underground or surface to air.

yesterday i had to work a 10.5 hour shift and i remember hearing people say that they thought pete tong would be playing escape velocity. i went onto google and typed "escape velocity chemical brothers" and i found the 12 minute version. I was blown away and completely at ease. I really liked the females voice at the start. Funny thing is straight after work i went to a friends place to show him and we couldn't find it. I dont think they believed me
Nice work though MX!

Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

For the sake of discussion and out of curiosity, why not?

I agree with that.
Which doesn't mean I don't like Escape Velocity : the point is not that it is better or worse than the 3 aforementioned tracks, it's just less psychedelic.
Why ? Because Escape Velocity is not a growing track compared with the 3 others : after less than 1 minute and a half, it reaches its top. Then a break, and it goes back to the top.
Dare I write its more a "dance" track than the 3 others mentioned by Joslyn ?

Not actually . I think it's getting higher after every break... and after the last break it reaches its top. Listen again...

I don't know, as for me it pretty much gets/ leaves me in psychedelic mood and there was no single moment I felt like I have to compare it to any other tracks by them. The way the synth(s) go crazy it's all bubble-di-dubble in my cranium.
Could imagine how it looked when they were producing that monstrous tune, pitching and pushing the sliders, knobs and cables around their ideas generator
