Yes, it was the best show ever. Even better than the headlining set on the Pyramid stage in 2000.

I just woke up, we left after Tom & Ed finished and drove back to London overnight. *yawns*

I must say, even though this was the 12th live show I've seen, they still keep getting better and better (although nothing can eclipse that first time!)

This was the first time I've seen the 2007 set with the new visuals, there were so many amazing little bits and touches that I can't possibly remember everything, sadly. I am not keen on Galvanize as the set-opener but it seemed to get everyone proper hyped up and jumping. I miss the good old days of Dust-Up Beats and Loops of Fury as opening songs :)

The only downside was that as they came on at 2240 and the festival is only licensed until midnight on Sunday they played a shorter set. I must say that finishing the set on a pounding version of Chemical Beats instead of TSU or TPPR certainly leaves you with a different feeling after the show.

If anyone else has been a little underwhelmed by Do It Again, then the live version is truly a thing to behold.

Loved the new songs in the set as well, Burst Generator and Saturate sounded especially awesome. I deliberately hadn't read reviews of the shows in May and June so was surprised to see they dropped their bootleg of 'Don't Fight It, Feel It' by Primal Scream mixed with Out of Control.

The missus and I were on the front rail just to the right of the stage and we took some pictures. I shall try and get a couple of the better ones up sometime for y'all to see later today.

Basically, along with the stunning Bjork set on Friday night, last night's set made the entire weekend's trials of almost non-stop rain and spending every moment out of the tent ankle deep in cold mud worth while.

The best Chemical Brothers shows are *always* at festivals in the dark with the amazing work of the Vegetable Vision boys and 50,000 raving loons.

I don't know if this is news or not but last night Ed appeared to be sporting a proper bushy beard. Beards FTW.

Sounds like the Glasto set was the same as the RockNess one, they finished with Chemical Beats there too. It has to be said though the version of Star Guitar they did at Glasto wasn't as good as the one they did at RockNess. The version they did there had some amazing analogue sounds thrown in on top which really gave it a bit more life.

Orange Pelican - totally agree with you about Galvanize as a set opener. Its not a strong one.

I started a set list(*) but realised I couldn't really do it justice after four songs :(

Hopefully someone else will come along later and we can fill in the blanks.

(*) Just now, that is. Not during the gig :)

I have some pictures. All I did was resize these, no other fiddling done with brightness levels etc. yet.

I hope this works.

How do I post pictures into my forum posting then? I have them uploaded on my own webspace already.
