Denial is not just a river in Africa. Anyone who has taken a basic college psychology course will tell you that each one of you has some sort of psychological disfunction. A chemical imbalance if you will. The recent behavior of some of the forumers can be clinically diagnosed and some sort of disorder could be attributed to it. If you take a look at Kubler-Ross model of grief (death or loss), you'll see that each one of you are at a different stage of it. Here's Wikipedia explaining this phenomenon in a much more detail. " The KÃŒbler-Ross model, commonly referred to as the "five stages of grief", is a hypothesis introduced by Elisabeth KÃŒbler-Ross[1] and says that when a person is faced with the reality of impending death or other extreme, awful fate, he or she will experience a series of emotional stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance." In our case we are faced with the reality of impending awful chemical fate, the next album. It's not hard to deduce from the current sounds coming from the chemical headquarters that the future chemical brothers release would be a big flop. Couple of songs might save it some face but overall it would be a humiliating and an embarrassing loss which will inevitably turn off all the current fans and chances of having new fans will exponentially go down with every release. Some of you are not taking this news well. Csar has shown multiple stages of this model, denial about the existence of anything wrong and being overly optimistic, some anger towards me (I'm just the middle man, don't shoot the messenger), bargaining when he says "well can't cant speculate just yet but I sort of agree with you about the quality of these two tracks". Eventually you'll see this bargaining will lead to depression from having the truth sink in and then finally acceptance. Then you'll realize the chemical reaction was right all along. Same thing happened with other forumers, calling me names like "shit silpvin" and just general hostility towards me, clearly in the "anger" phase. The sooner you'll realize where you stand the sooner we can treat you. The choice is yours.

Oh come on, chemicalreaction. This is getting out of hand :D. You can't take yourself that seriously :D. I've never been mad at you, surprised describes it best. I just felt to discuss my opinion here like you. Hm, maybe I've reached the stage of amusement. Ross shoild incorporate this as a sixth neutral construct to serve as a bias factor. Well, you certainly amused me however.

Hahahah. My thought exactly :)
I'm not in denial at all, I've always liked Nothing but Pleasure since the first footage on Youtube and was waiting for the release with impatience. I also love the other snippets we've heard from different footage and I'm not at all worried about Chem 8...

So to sum up, some people are concerned that the slim pickings we've had since Further suggest that the Chemical Brother(s) may be going in a more simplistic direction than previously. Whilst others think that these slim pickings aren't enough to draw any firm conclusions from, and are keeping an open mind on what the next album will sound like (the one they haven't started making yet as far as I know).
I think that's about it, isn't it?

^That's about correct. The state of the debate so far is that Chemicalreaction thinks that we're wrong. We, on the other hand, think that he is wrong. Both sides have absolutely no objective evidence and it's pretty hilarious.

I like what that edit builds into, and I think generally it adds some much needed bass into the "drop." It was a little weird, though, to take the edit and center it around the last 30 seconds of the original track.

That JB edit is based on one made by 2manydjs (you'll recall they've added it to their Under The Covers rotation, though I haven't found any decent footage of it yet):

He does recreations of their stuff all the time; I have to say he did a bang-up job here. I slightly prefer the housey percussion Dave and Steph used in their edit, though.

Well 2 Many DJ's apparently have a radio station in the new Grand Theft Auto game, and they put their edit of Nothing But Pleasure on the rotation - thought that might interest some of you!
There's a link to the (leaked and somewhat glitchy) audio of several stations here:

Quite a boring remix for a boring song. Nothing to be excited about it.

Dunno, I think it accentuates the song's strongest points really well. Also pleased to see our mysterious "Pleasure" track will be getting some outside exposure. :)

Actually the 7 previous albums please me a lot

I'm just not really that into the few tracks they have dropped lately (superflash, nothing but pleasure).

Understandable, I'm not quite into those tracks either. There are a few yet to be released tracks you may have missed (C.h.e.m.i.c.a.l., Eargasm, Pumisher's Erection Song) as well as the XTC Remix that are all a lot better/promising.

Why thank you whitenoise, I thought my effort in creating that gif went unnoticed amongst all the shit I talked. That moment for me captures the craziness, the raw energy I feel while listening to chems live. While I'm here I want to give a shout out, a appreciation, a tip of the hat to WhiteNoise for first of all making that much needed thread about new chems and secondly for his youtube channel, which I just subscribed too seeing how I love the awesome chemical brothers live moments and underworld!!!

Super gif...

I've also decided that "Pumisher's Erection Song" is by far the best upcoming track name ever. hahah

You guys heard Nothing But Pleasure used as a backing loop/mix in Felix Da Housecats IBIZA Space Mix in July? Not bad. Another different take on using it. From about 16 min in it starts with the first track that it blends in with and continues on for a while.
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.
